I want to love this high school. We went out of our way to move to this district, but some of the staff are not helpful. Complaints are swept under the rug. Counselors don't listen to the parents or students at all, at least the one assigned to us. Some students are given preferential treatment. When ever you address any concern you are treated as if you are the problem regardless of how polite you are. Staff generally just seemed bothered if you call or stop by, To be fair, they are really great at communicating through pre-recorded messages should anything be happening at the school and the Principal seems very nice for the most part. They do have a lot to offer in terms of spirit weeks, pep rallies, fun things to motivate the kids, and sports teams. Transportation has been good and I feel safe sending my student on the busses.

I graduated from this school and now have children who attend. I left Gloucester due to the military and came back because of the strong community. There was never any other choice for where I’d settle down. Pleased to have my own children graduate from here and call it home. Administration, teachers, and other faculty members care about the children in this county. It’s a wonderful place to live and grow up.

School is going downhill fast! It’s time to rethink staffing.

The varied Career and Technical programs available for the students are such a positive aspect of GHS. There is something for everyone.

Teachers telling students to look up videos to learn instead of teaching, not many good programs, TV production is a great class for students but really need a lot of help on acting and audio, need new coaches because Gloucester high has been losing for many of years. Just like for my kids to get a good education and be proud of where they graduated from.

There are too many students for the size of the building. It is the only high school in Gloucester County. The building desperately needs renovation.

Now upon graduation 2013, I can say that Gloucester High School was an incredible school for my son. The NJROTC program was far surpassing in excellence. The courses open to students to pursue careers right out of high school were varied and backed up with thorough instruction on campus or off. Those pursuing college were given constant options of dual credit earned while in high school. My summation would be - that if a student was serious about getting as much out of their education as possible ~ there were staff available to help them make their goals. The NJROTC program is excellent in guiding a student in structure, discipline and a great peer group of cadets helping other cadets even in academics when subjects might prove a difficult challenge. I thank Dr. Beverage for the great four years my student had as I'm sure as principal much was attributable to his steering the course of this academic ship. Thank you...
