Campo Verde is dedicated to the students and creating a diverse and engaging learning environment. The Staff at Campo are hands down the best High School staff in GPS. Mr. Dumas cares about the teachers and faculty which is then reflected in the teachers' classrooms and their teaching.

he school just isn’t as good as everyone makes it out to be. Mormons run the school and it’s obvious, from the Trump shirts to the random laws about no caffeine being sold on campus. Certain teachers are nice whereas most are unqualified and barely teach. There’s a college level teacher who loves to berate students like it brings her pleasure. The school doesn’t feel super safe as the security is lacking. Class work and rules are different for each teacher which makes learning suck. Some students are ok but most of them are snobbish and stuck up. It’s small here, which means rumors fly like butterflies. Finally, admin is nice to your face but doesn’t do much when you need help.

Campo is great for the student who wants more control over their academic experience. Counselors are experienced in adjusting the standard course load to allow for a student’s individual needs, allowing auditing, self-study, and concurrent enrollment. Students are prepared well by the teachers for AP tests, with the majority of them scoring 4s and 5s. The fine arts programs, especially orchestra, are exceptional, routinely bringing home the highest honors in competition. Like all schools, there are some gaps in teacher experience, but I find that Campo attracts teachers who want to teach and who are focused on providing what their students need.

We are an Open Enrollment Family with 3 boys. 2 have graduated from Campo and one is a Junior. They have been in almost every program on the campus. Our first son was involved in their Bio-Med Program, Weights, and Soccer. He thrived at CVHS. My second son took Japanese and was in the SPICE 2 program / Co-Taught Classes, (Their Special Education Department is phenomenal), and gaming club. My third son participated in AFJROTC, FFA, Weights, and Soccer. There is truly something for everyone there! Love Campo!

We sought out our home to be sure to be in district for Campo Verde. We had not one negative recommendation and now that our first child has been a part of the Campo community - we know we made the right decision and look forward to all of our children to attend. We have different children that excel in different things, and Campo makes it their job to make sure to meet them where they are and encourage growth and excellence. From academics, to sports, to extra curriculars!

I have two students attending Campo Verde, so we have been part of the community going on three years. Our experience has been wonderful! Both of our high schoolers participate in marching band and concert band, and Campo has one of the best programs in the state. I have seen a lot of growth in my teenagers as they have been involved in the band at Campo. As far as academics go, both of mine excel, but it is somewhat hard to tell if they will be prepared for college. One of my children has 504 accommodations, and the school is on top of that. I have been very pleased with the school counselors, nurse and other office staff I have interacted with. Most importantly, my children are happy at Campo, so much so that we chose to stay when we had moved out of district. This is a wonderful community of caring educators, and I look forward to my other children attending Campo in the future.

I have had 3 children at Campo Verde and have been pleased and grateful for the experience. The AP program is great at preparing students for the exams. Every school has good teachers and some that need improvement. I feel Campos teachers by majority are great. Sports and clubs have also been a very positive experience.

I adore Campo Verde HS. All of the kids in my family have gone to Campo and we have loved our experience. My oldest has an IEP and is well supported by the SpEd department and her general Ed teachers. She has always struggled academically, but has really grown and thrived as she is about to graduate this school year. My middle child is hardworking, but struggles at times. I find she always has a lot of English and history homework. She does complain about the homework often, but I also feel like it is important for her to learn resilience now as it will help her in the future. My youngest will be a freshman next year and I am excited to see his experience. He is more of our academic student so I feel he will thrive in a different way than my other two kids. The teachers are super supportive and flexible with students, as long as there is a line of communication. They are willing to work with the kids as long as they are aware of any struggles. The administration has had some changes over the last few years, but I don’t have anything negative to say about previous or current administration. The students are extremely welcoming (even if we are a minority) and they show great character. I highly recommend CVHS to all.

This isn't an environment where everyone is accepted. Teachers pick favorites and fail students very quick. There is little to no accommodations for students that need extra help. English class for me was the worst as the teacher did nothing to help me. I have always done very well in English my whole life. I decided to get my GED instead because of this. My self esteem was lowered at the time. They need to show their students how to improve. Rather than giving out bad grades with no explanations. It is incredibly unprofessional. There should be a more defined curriculum. More instructions and help for students that are falling behind in certain subjects.

I would not recommend this school to anyone. If my daughter was not a Senior, I would pull her out of this place. I am a school administrator, I am not just a parent. GPS: Take a look at your policies. Hire competent teachers. Teach character. Challenge children who excel. Fire the current administration. You can do so much better.

I would give this school a 10.

Campo is great at communicating with parents and studens. When there was a need for assistance I was able to receive a call back quickly from a counselor. The homework can seem a bit too much, however it could be a result of higher demanding classes (3+hours a day sometimes). Most teachers are great at offering to tutor or being available before school for assistance. So far very pleasant, my son comes home and talks highly of his teachers and the influence they have to make him better.

I feel Campo is a solid choice of high school for any person to go to. Yea they have some issues, but what school doesn't and compared to most schools the issues here are minuscule. Would definitely recommend!

Very bland, unfair towards students who aren’t the perfect epitome of a “Gilbert Kid” , hard to reach out to administrators, teachers are very lazy with entering grades and typically put them in last minute before students have any chance to make up work or see how hard they need to work to improve, vape and drug infested, and just overall a good school went down the drain.

Disappointed! The walk out is in 2 days but I can get nothing done today, sad.

The school is located in a good neighborhood and has nice teachers so the students are better than average. But the supporting staff are ... meh!

If their were another option for us, we’d leave. We are stuck. We are making the best of a bad situation.
