Perry is not an academic school, it is a sports school. The AP and honors teachers are great but the principal doesn't really care, she is sloppy and over committed to athletics. The enrollment has been trending down for the past three years. Eventually with the hyper focus on sports, I would expect a decline in academic students especially with ACP opening up next door. It's decent school, I'd compare it top Horizon High School.

Cookie cutter mediocre school! My child is advanced she’s in AP classes very intelligent (we are middle class) we came from a private school. This school is not supportive to the middle class or non LDS, a good 1/2 of teachers aren’t great. We have experienced teachers openly discussing there religion, politics, personal problems in the class. Science is not taught because it’s “political”, the whole school basically caters to LDS pushing other students out causing a definite lack of diversity. They have a great science teacher who can’t teach. LDS kids shake there heads through his class even though it’s catered to them. No emotional support and a lot of judgment passed, so unless your Mormon I would definitely pass on this school. My child’s grades dropped after a covid quarantine and its end of the year. BEWARE of this school it’s mediocre at best. My daughter has also heard about drug use in the bathrooms so it’s no better with that then other schools. If you want your child unhappy & judged go to Perry.

My son did not feel included at Perry, he can not wait to leave there. We were thinking about moving him but it really interfered with his athletics, since he would have to sit out for 6 matches if he transferred and there was not a bus to take him to school. Very disappointed with the Puma Nation!

This school is an authoritarian nightmare that should be shut down.

This school is sub-par. You will love and hate some of the teachers. Depending on your teacher, you will get loads and loads of homework, or none at all. Some teachers do quiz and test corrections which is great if you want to get your grades up. Also most teachers do extra credit. If you are taking a language class, be prepared to be studying ALOT if you want to pass the tests. The athletic part of the school is great. I have known many people who have tried out for a sport they have never played, and still make the team. If your child has a disability i strongly recommend to stay away from this school. The theater program is great, as well as the band and orchestra. The main athletic director is very, very rude and does not care about your needs. Although the other athletic director is very nice. The school does not care about dress code much less having your phones out. Like I said some teachers are strict and don’t allow phones while others couldn’t care less. I do have to say that 5 minutes to get to your class is a STRUGGLE. If your upstairs in one building, not only do you have to get past about 100 kids that stop in the middle of the hallway (going on their phones) but then you have to go downstairs, walk for about two minutes and then go upstairs in another building halfway across campus, still dealing with a billion kids. NOT TO MENTION IF YOU HAVE TO USE THE BATHROOM. Many teachers don’t allow you to use the restroom during class and if you do, you have about THREE PASSES FOR THE QUARTER. So have fun getting a UTI. The school lunch is pretty good and has multiple options, so i don’t have much to say about that. The school is very clean (besides 50 prefixes of gum under every desk) and the bathrooms are clean too. The security guards yell a lot and basically stalk you in their golf carts the whole day. So i would 6/10 recommend this school to anyone.

Two years of poor experience with the Varsity Softball coach and administration left us with a feeling that they will take any and all available steps to protect their own. Completely ruined my daughters high school experience.

This school is fine if your child is a traditional learner. They are too big and more interested in athletics than teaching the kids within their boundaries. If you have special needs, stay away. They don't want you there and will squeeze you out.

Like all new schools, Perry had a good run its first couple of years. Now it's too big and has grown too fast to accommodate all of the students and their individual needs, and to allow them to shine in their own right. My daughter was lost in the system at Perry, not only due to its size, but also because it is quite clique-ish. In retrospect, I wish we'd chosen one of the smaller Chandler high schools.

We have had two daughters attend Perry High School and have been extremely impressed with the school. The classes are excellent, in particular the honors courses. Their fine arts programs are unbelievable, particularly their orchestra program which has placed 1st or 2nd nationally for several years. Perry has a multitude of extra-curricular activities and groups that kids can get involved in to help them develop their interests create bonds with their peers. We would highly reccomend this school to anyone.

My friend's siblings go to Perry and by the way she talks about it, it seems like a nice school. If Perry High were close to my house I'd bet I would've gone there.

Bullying, not only by students, but teachers. Kids should always have an adult (teacher) on their side, to protect them. School should be fun as well as a place of learning. Very sad when teachers chime in and start name calling. Definitely not a good, safe environment.

My daughters had 2 good teachers the whole time they attended Perry, most seemed like they didn't care. The Athletic Director is absolutely horrible, she is one of the rudest people I have ever met and the Administration is not much better. Do yourself a favor a choose one of the other high schools in the area.- a parent

We had an awful experience with Perry. We worked with their staff for weeks before we moved and they were extremely cold and unhelpful. When we actually arrived in AZ we went to the school twice and they were so extremely rude and impersonal. It was so hard as moving a high school student is very difficult and they didn't help in the least. So disappointing. They lied to is about rules that we confirmed with Chandker school districts and we finally enrolled our teen into a different school it became so frustrating. Would never recommend them to anyone.

Do not like some staff members. The JROTC is at Basha, communication sucks between leadership. Some teachers are disrespectful if you have to retake their class.

Several teachers at Perry do not effectively use Infinite Campus, thus parents attempting to help their child prepare for and manage the workload are not adequately informed. We are happy with other aspects of the school and teachers but this, in my experience, is a huge hindrance to parents.

I couldn't think of any other high school I would rather go to. I love all my teachers, this year especially as a sophomore. The teachers are all willing to help me and they are all so willing to help me to succeed. There are so many nice people and that has been such a relief, but like with all schools, it all depends on the friends you choose to make. I personally feel like I'm getting the best education for me. I absolutely love that there are so many options of classes that I can go as difficult or as easy as I want. At other schools, I may not be able to be in AP Spanish for or in Honors Brief Calc as a Sophomore, but here I am and Love it. I'd recommend this school to anybody.

I am very pleased to see the quality of teachers in Perry High School. Coming from the best of best schools in the valley, they have created a big impact in the quicker upgrade of a relatively newer school. Kudos to the principal and the board.

Perry is the most balanced of all the schools in the Chandler district. The negative review about bullying is not true. Check the AZ Dept of Ed website for information regarding incidents on campus. Perry has few incidents, and high test scores. The person who wrote the negative review probably had a bad experience where an investigation of their child did not go in their favor. Unfortunate they blame the school.
