New administrator is a bully herself. Nothing proactive is done with bullying. They think handing out awards to the same kids every month is teaching these kids anything? We went down the street to another CUSD school and have never regretted it! The entire school is chaos, administration runs around all day looking busy, doing absolutely nothing!

My son loved coming to school each day, until he came forward to his teacher about an issue with bullying. He was sent to the principal’s office, where she preceded to yell at him and tell him all the things he did wrong. The principal then called me to tell me my son should have told someone sooner and there’s nothing she can about it. I was in shock with the way she spoke down to my wife and I. There was no space for us to talk with her, she said her piece and told me she was done. I moved him to another local CUSD school shortly after.

All three of my boys have attended Haley Elementary. They have been challenged academically and have have been cared for by every teacher they’ve had. We love Haley and would recommend it to people looking for a caring, positive, challenging learning environment.

I highly recommend Haley Elementary. My youngest went into kindergarten last year and had a really hard time adjusting. I brought my concerns to the school counselor and with her help, and the help of many other supportive staff members, they came up with a solution to create an environment that helped my son feel excited and safe to be at school. This year he is now a thriving 1st grader.

I have 2 kids who went to Haley. 1 who completed K-6th and is now in HS and the other who is currently a 3rd grader. My eldest scored at gifted levels but we did not want to move her to a gifted program at another school during the pandemic. She started struggling socially and was not completing her school work in 4th grade. We had no idea until her 5th grade teacher alerted us and together we worked on the social emotional side, gaining access to counseling services thru the school. We started to see progress until 6th grade when she struggled to adjust to a new teaching style by her 6th grade teacher. This is when I believe the school really shined. We worked closely with her teacher and the principle to create a new plan. By mid year my daughter went from hating her teacher and having 75% of her assignments not turned in, to absolutely loving her teacher and no missing assignments. I get emotional even thinking back to this transformation. Her teacher did not give up on her when she easily could have as the pandemic was still in full effect. We feel fortunate that we had this support at Haley and my daughter continues to thrive now into HS. Our boundary lines changed and our youngest should have started at a different school but we choose to enroll her at Haley based on our prior experiences. The Principle who helped us has since retired however we continue to be happy with our decision to remain at Haley.

I have two children at Haley, currently in 2nd and 5th, and am impressed year over year by the quality of the teachers, curriculum and staff. The children always feel, academically challenged, supported and encouraged to ask questions. The focus on social/emotional development is also seen in everything they do, focusing on the whole child, not just grades. Parents are encouraged to volunteer, and the school/PTO is always running events to bring together the community. I highly recommend Haley!

All 3 of my children attended Haley Elementary. The staff, teachers and administration there are one of a kind. So grateful for our experience. Haley Elementary is the best!

I have 3 kids currently attending and we have been at Haley for 6 years. The teachers are all amazing- you know it’s a great school with the majority of teachers have been teaching there for YEARS. They are great at communicating and really have gotten to know my kids personalities, quirks, and needs. The administration is too knotch. They know all three of my kiddos names, are super friendly, and are completely present in every aspect of the school. They come up with new ideas for engagement and clubs and work so well together. The PTO is FANTASTIC. The teachers and staff are so well taken care of which helps them give back in such a positive way. All the powers that be work together so well! There are countless community events, everything is so organized, and fun. With administration, teachers, and PTO being so fantastic the community of families rise to the occasion and are just as involved- volunteering, helping out, and showing up for events. If you’re looking for a happy, fun, pleasant, child/family centered school- welcome to Haley!

On top of a wonderful staff and community, Haley offers opportunities for growth that don’t just focus on academics. Leadership opportunities such as student council and student ambassadors; fine arts clubs such as steel drum band and drama club; physical enrichment clubs such as running club and cheer squad all exist to engage the whole child and as a parent, this is a must for a campus where my children will attend. I’m grateful for all the additional experiences my kids have had at Haley.

Teachers here truly go above & beyond. I don't know how they do it all. They care about their students & it's a safe, inclusive, adaptive, innovating environment for ALL children.

My child just finished his time at Haley. This school blew away my expectations! Every teacher and support staff has been fabulous during the last few years. The extra curricular activities are excellent, and beyond what similar schools offer. The teachers make a strong effort to engage the parents. Most importantly, my child LOVED school. The teachers made learning fun and exciting, and this remained consistent throughout. The amount of tears shed by the students, the teachers, and the parents at 6th grade promotion was a huge testament to how we all feel about Haley. This is my youngest child of four, and I have never been this impressed with any school over the year until now. In fact, I have never written a review for a school. I wish my older children (and even myself) had the opportunity to attend Haley. We will always consider ourselves Haley Tigers.

This school is great! It shows an excellent school when many of the teachers have been here since the school opened in 2008. PTO is amazing and works hard with the staff to make this school great! My kiddo went there for 7 years and loved it! I would highly recommend this school!

A large percentage of the staff here should be disassembled and sent in different directions. Nothing will happen to fix the problems within this school until the ineffective leadership is removed from this school completely.

Some of the teachers at Haley are not good and should stop teaching if they hate what they do so much. Was very disappointed in principals lack of care/ professionalism when we reported a problem with one of her teachers. All they seem to care about is test scores and keeping an A rating. It should be about the kids and teaching them how to learn!

My son just started Kinder at Haley this year. We are super happy! There are so many choices for schools and we know we picked the right place ! We don't have any complaints. Great staff! And his teacher really cares about the students and is a hard worker! The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The principal is great too! We love Haley!

Teachers like Mrs. Birch and Mrs.Conrad and Mrs. Lapham are what make this school not just good...but spectacular. I know the school had some growing pains in the beginning. Yes, over the years I've seen the school spirit go from "luke warm" but now it is sparkling with school spirit. The PTO has done a fantastic job of boosting the school spirit. The front office ladies are always so pleasant and so kind. Truly a school full of ...not perfect people...but people who genuinily care and seem to enjoy working there.

The Haley atmosphere is always positive. I have three boys that attend Haley with all different needs. All my boys teachers offer support inside and out of school. It is not unlikely to come across a email or note home about how my children are doing or something silly they did or something encouraging etc. Importantly the school is always clean and the staff outside of the teachers are always so nice to deal with. Thank you Haley staff you help mentor, inspire, and create wisdom in my children.
