Not friendly. I asked the teacher a question and he immediately shouted at me and instructed me to move my seat. I am just trying to learn alright.

My children have been at Cornerstone for 10 years. I have one who has graduated and felted well prepared for college. Love that Character development is a strong focus. Academics have been amazing.

I went here from 6-8th grade and I have now left as a freshman to a new school. I’ve made some great friendships but I’ve had some bad experiences. The administration here can be ridiculous. Only a few of the teachers are great, others not so much. I’ve personally felt left out multiple times due to sexist circumstances. My friends have agreed that this specific teacher has made them feel the same way. While the opposite gender was constantly given second chances, we we’re never on the same boat. It wasn’t only genders. I’ve discussed issues and scenarios that have occurred and most of us agreed that some people have been targeted and treated differently than others. Specifically most of the boys were raised higher in this teacher’s eyes and it seemed like they praised students with higher grades. Every student was raised at a different standard and the teacher would target my friend and I the most out of the whole class. It wasn’t a situation where they were stricter with us because we were known for talking, nothing like that. I completely understand that, but this was not the case. If the “praised” students demonstrated the exact same behavior as us( I’m referring to a distruptive behavior,) most of the time they wouldn’t even be called out for it. If my friend and I ever looked at each other, they would immediately target us.

2 -stars at best. And we have had kids there for a very long time now. The math curriculum needs work. Instead of a deliberate and logical approach to teaching math they prefer the "Math with Tears" approach. To be honest feels like the school has let us down. We have removed our kids from the school after being there for over 10 years. There were a lot of good things because of the homeschool aspect. And for us our kids developed well but it feels like they developed well in a lot of respects in spite of the school's poor performance.

Two Stars.... The school is great if your kid is an all star student and your kid is a social kid. However, if there is a problem in terms of bullying they either do not react at all because your kid is not important or they completely overreact because the claimant is important. What I can't figure out is how they determine who is important and who is not. For that I believe they judge the kids solely on looks. If your kid is pretty or handsome they assume he or she is good. If the kid is different looking that kid must be the kid in the wrong. They claim to have a conflict resolution plan but sadly it is only followed in a manner to achieve whatever ends they already have in mind. It has been this way now for about four to five years also. This isn't new. Its fine if you aren't on the wrong end of the stick. Honestly it isn't much better than the public schools in terms of education. The christian aspect and the Christian education aspect is great. But at this point I'd say not worth it. There are other christian schools out there.

It was good at first. Seven years later it has turned into a nightmare. Just imagine if teacher's sanctioned bullying and allowed students to use classroom assignments to bully your child. And then allowed it to continue even if at first they might have been unaware. Instead of institutionalized racism it is institutionalized bullying at this school. This school will break your heart I would not recommend ever enrolling at any age. It will just be a matter of time. I've seen it over and over and now it has happened to us. My kid is a gentle, kind, and a really good kid even if he isn't the most socially aware kid. We asked for help and instead they just made it worse. It is open season now on my kid.

I went to this school for 14 years of my life. I was there from pre-k to 11th grade. In my younger years it was a great school with a great mission and proper leaders pushing it in the right direction. My mom was a teacher there every year I was there and principal for my last two years there. If your kids are in their elementary years I would say it is great to send them there. But pull them out before high school. The education there is of high quality in the younger years but decreases as the years go by. There are a massive number of issues though. It's a small school so everyone knows each other. This is both good and bad. On several occasions throughout the schools existence, drama starting from the students has grown to their parents (even after the students move on) and caused worse drama that has led to administrators, teachers and families to leave the school. I and my family are examples of that. Because a few parents have so much voice and their children complain for no reason so then those parents speak. This in every situation has led to people being asked to leave, and other people leaving. In the case of my family, both happened. Good school for elementary kids. Pull your kids out before they get to high school. Even still, I hear from my few friends who are still there (half of my class left in the middle of the year after I left) that there's even more drama that had been occurring. This dram is what led half of that year of senior to leave. So to conclude, send your kids here in elementary school. Pull out your kids before high school.

I have a very bright teenager who struggled socially at both public and private schools locally. The Cornerstone staff has been very nurturing, and the students make every effort to include him both during school and in after school activities. Plus, the curriculum is challenging and requires kids to think a lot on their own.

Independent thinking is fostered here in a loving Christian environment. The quality of education is second to non in the area. The students here go on to Senior College, many with scholarships.

I currently have two children in Cornerstone - one in elementary school, and one in high school. At elementary school level they are exposed to challenging, hands-on curriculum, in academics, as well as art and music. The classical education model really proves it worth in high school. The students are taught to think through issues, reason and write very well. I am extremely pleased with my high schooler's growth in maturity, and attribute a large part of it to the classical Christian education he receives at Cornerstone. The teachers are highly committed, and the administration have the students' best interest at heart. Overall a great school.

Fantastic leadership team, outstanding teachers and strong curriculum all in one school! Cornerstone is such a blessing to this community and we're so thankful for them! We would highly recommend this school to any family looking for a great Christian education.

Cornerstone is a wonderful school. This is our first year and our child loves her teacher and the friends she is making. She is challenged by the work but we are thankful for that. The teachers are caring and the administration is responsive to parent concerns -- which isn't always easy with a large group of parents. They do a great job and are very committed to their Christian and academic mission.

I have had horrible experiences at this school, and they have consistently ignored any and all problems that have been brought up by students and parents. They think that their school is perfect just because it is a christian school, and thus never shed any light on the multiple problems that are there.

Being taught a Christian worldview with strong academics could stand alone as my reason for choosing Cornerstone, but there are others. These include nourishment, opportunity, acceptance, focus, responsibility, and friendship. I am so grateful for the opportunities my children have had through Cornerstone. Opportunities to include being able to participate in drama, sports, student government, event planning, even helping to prepare a new school! Being at Cornerstone teaches our kids that they matter, are significant, and have an effect on their community, either positive or negative. They learn self-control because they are in the forefront. There is no background for them to slip into to be 'unnoticed'. Seeds of leadership and talent that God placed in my children have been nurtured by gifted and dedicated teachers and coaches at Cornerstone. God is using Cornerstone to shape and mold our children for the future that He has prepared for them.
