The school prepares its students very well. My daughter struggled to read in a different school district, and within a month, she was fluent. Teachers are caring, and everyone knows the kids. There is a teacher who knows all the names of the parents picking up their kids. The coaches are extremely caring too. Very nice experience! Keep doing a great job, owls.

Don't be misguided by positive reviews. I wish you luck. We actually moved school zones to get away and he is doing incredibly better now.

The teachers are excellent and work hard at what they do. I have 3 children at Hidden Oak Elementary School right now. We have been going for the past 4 years and love it! The school creates a safe and healthy learning environment by communicating strict guidelines and enforcing them. We are really happy with the homeroom teachers along with the music, art, and P.E. teachers. They are friendly and really care about their students.

Our experience at this school has been very hit and miss. We've had three very good teachers with quality teaching methods and good teacher-parent communication. However, we've also had three bad experiences where the teacher was disorganized, didn't teach the material well or at all, and had horrible parent-communication. There have been numerous occasions where we as parents have had concerns about our kids and the teacher didn't even bother to respond to emails or set up a meeting. We've had our kids come home on several occasions and told us the teacher "ran out of time" teaching the subject but the kids were expected to finish the homework and be tested on the material anyway. I'm convinced the only way this school can possibly pull off such a high rating is because of parental involvement because some of these teachers are in it for the paycheck. Bottom line if you pick this school be prepared for either a really good year or a really bad one based on luck of the draw, and if it is a bad teacher year be ready to put in a lot of extra time with your children at home.

We have had an excellent experience at hidden Oak. My oldest daughter started in a private school then transfer to Hidden Oak and literary was a year behind . We had to pay a lot of money in tutoring . My youngest started since kindergarten going to 5th grade and her academics skills are excellent also great environment .

We just moved here from Wyoming in August. My son started 3rd grade at Hidden Oak and has Mrs. Freedman as his teacher and he couldn't be more happy. He has made lots of friends and everyone has been very friendly and organized. The school is very clean and I love how involved the teachers, staff and parents are with the students and their goals. We look forward to many more years. Great school!

After a plan of five years, my family moved to Gainesville FL from south Florida, looking for a calm place to live, and a good school for my son. We follow the Hidden Oak Elementary info for several years, and decided to send our son this school, so we buy a house in the neighborhood of this school. It was a wonderful decision was, because this school is qualified 10/10, discipline, respect and safety are priorities there.

My son is in Kindergarten at Hidden Oaks and I am very impressed with all aspects of this school. The staff is wonderful- Each and every one of them cares about every child there. They are very involved with not only daily routines but also additional events the school holds ex: dances, fundraisers, holiday events. Parent involvement is very encouraged. They reward children not only for grades but also being respectful, responsible and caring. It is always clean and I feel my child is safe there. We still have 5 years there, but as it stands I can't find one negative thing about it.

This is a wonderful wonderful school. This was the first school I ever took my daughter to and I, honestly, had no idea until we had to move out of the area and went to a terrible school, how good we had it. She has severe learning disabilities and they were excellent in helping her. The teachers and parents are very involved and there are many programs available for the children. We are considering going back to Gainesville from Miami just for this school.
