I graduated in 1991 back when I was an immigrant. I am not sure if I can compare the school program back then to what is being followed now, but this school helped me adjust to American culture. I am a medical doctor now and I feel this school helped shape who I am now. One of my favorite things to do was hanging out in a public library at the back of the school after school hours. They had the best collection of "choose your own adventure" books!

My son was in a program here for those on the autism spectrum, after transferring out of a 10/10 school. While the teachers wanted to help my son at the 10/10 rating school, they were not given the resources and support they needed to help him. After going to this program, he is flourishing and is transferring back. I'd highly recommend this school. The staff is very kind and caring.

It also has a solid multi-tiered system in both academics and behavior for the students at risk. Pacific Drive school is focused on providing all students a rigorous and relevant education for the 21st Century! This year we launched a Computer Science and Innovation program in which students in grades Kindergarten through 6th are learning about coding, programming and STEM. We have exceptional parents who dedicate hours in making our school a safe and secure campus. We also have parent volunteers in our classrooms that participate and help with daily and special events. The teachers and staff have implemented a strong literacy program (RtI) and a positive behavior intervention supports (PBIS) program that have been awarded the Gold Ribbon Award and the Gold Implementation Award in 2016! Way to Dolphins!

From what I have observed over the course of 4 years, Pacific Drive steadily continues to grow. With a focus on literacy, Pacific Drive has implemented programs designed to meet the needs of students where they are. The students are happy because structures have been put in place, and teachers are collaborating to understand the students and their unique needs. Every Monday morning starts with a school assembly to recognize deserving students and build a sense of community. Pacific Drive has also been recognized as a Blue Ribbon School because of their "Fintastic Reader" literacy intervention program. Measures have also been taken to ensure student safety. The teachers are very caring , and truly understand the unique needs of the students in their community. The community itself cares about the quality of the school and continues to participate in volunteering time and assisting in developing new programs. This is a great community and great school getting greater!

This school is one of the worst schools ever! I would not recommend for any parent to enroll their child in this school. the location is horrible, it is located in a gang neighborhood. the teachers and no good they don't care about their students because they have too many in the classroom to focus on its just ridiculous..the staff in the office is never up to date on their work. its just horrible all together so sad.
