It's so hard to understand why a student with outstanding state test scores constistenly recieves low level grades in a class. Our student tested into cambridge level ELA at the top highschool in our district but never surpassed above a C- average at this school. It's a huge disconect between student experience and actual real world ability.

I am a big believer in providing my children with a strong foundation . I believe that Maestra Michelle, Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Jordan along with the help of Ms. Amber have provided just that and more. My children arrived at Arborland during COVID and though this school was going to be a temporary stepping stone , it has become their foundation for growth and development . They will be shortly completing second grade. The staff here is quite outstanding . Ms. Chen , the principal is very personable . Ms. Martinez, the backbone of the school is just a delight of knowledge , support and my guiding star. Ms. Cynthia is nurturing , encouraging, supportive, and definitely very committed. Children are excelling not only in math and reading but they are doing well in Spanish and Mandarin. My kids have learned to be comfortable in front of large crowds as they have recitals and culture week performances, that are quite entertaining. We feel like family at Arborland. I admire the love my children have for their teachers and how they always want to share their accomplishments with them . This is a close niche community . The education in my opinion is top notch as the standardized testing is a tangible way to show the success, progress and learning that is taking place at the school. My children have been year after year improving and excelling . The after school activities are in abundance . I want to thank each and every staff member at Arborland for making my children feel safe as I have entrusted my children’s future in your hands

When my son first started Arborland, he was new to school from an in-home daycare setting. He was not potty trained and went through a lot due to co-parenting and separation from a two-parent home. At times, he exhibited behavior issues toward classmates and teachers due to home changes and the tug of being here and there due to the custody order. However, as a parent, I loved that Arborland school was a safe place of normalcy, stability, and comfort for my son, giving me peace as a working parent. The school welcomed parent visits and even chats with teachers and the owner throughout the hard times of adjustment to a school setting from an in-home daycare environment. At some point, my son told me some classmates bullied him, and the school told me it was kid stuff and to ignore it, which I didn't. Instead, I voiced my concerns with the teacher and owner, and thankfully, with some time and a meeting to address my concern, it was monitored more closely by the staff and owner and remedied. However, as stated above, Arborland school is accommodating and open to hearing my concerns and having parents feel welcome in the school environment. The school can also do more to help families find community resources for speech concerns, special needs, or behavior management support. They have the Fullerton district resource office as a community resource for parents seeking such services right down the street within 3 min drive and a 5 min walk. The process takes a while, but it is of great importance and a time-sensitive matter for children to get tested to address their needs promptly throughout the school district offices. I am currently satisfied. I am happy knowing my son has learned so much, has a zest for learning, and loves attending school. He tells me his favorite subjects are math and science. I love that he is learning about the inclusion of cultures and languages via classroom instruction in learning mandarin Chinese and Spanish as part of the curriculum.

I absolutely love Arborland Montessori! My experience with this school started when I attended as a preschool and elementary student in the 90's. Once I became a mom, I knew I wanted to bring my 3 kids back to Arborland and to my surprise many of the teachers that were so wonderful to me are still teaching! I am a huge fan of the Montessori method and feel so relieved to know my children are in this wonderful, caring, nurturing, creative environment. What I also love MOST is how attentive the staff are to each child's different needs, learning styles and more. My son and daughter (different ages) were placed in the same classroom (thanks to mixed age classrooms), and they both thrived and continue to thrive. My youngest is 2 years old and is in the toddler room and absolutely LOVES all her teachers. Due to my work schedule she is in full-time plus extended hours and I feel so incredibly relieved to know she is in the best care. She goes to school excited and comes back home happy and relaxes. A huge plus is that my 2 year old has been working on potty training with her teachers at school and shows so much interest in it on her own at home, I mean what?! Amazing! Ok i love the Arborland community, staff, teachers SO very much and would highly recommend all campuses and all grades to all other parents who are looking for a stellar school in the Fullerton area.

We have entrusted Arborland Montessori Children's Academy with our children's education for the past 7 years. We originally planned on having our children attend Arborland only through kindergarten. That plan changed halfway through their pre-K year when we saw them blossom socially, academically and as individuals. The committed and creative staff of Arborland takes takes the art of learning beyond academics. Seven years later, our children not only have developed a natural love of learning, as well as a strong work effort and organizational skills- they are also enlightened global citizens filled with compassion and a desire to make positive contributions to their community, country and the world. Ms. Currey, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Cynthia and Ms. Tan are tremendous early learning educators whose caring and personalized approach is second to none! Ms. Simms takes young, eager minds and creates a strong environment for advanced learning, independent thinking while instilling a sense of unlimited achievement in her students! The attention Ms. Simms pays to preparing her students for Jr. High and beyond is priceless. We are grateful for our experience with Arborland and for the amazing family of teachers and staff!

My experience at Arborland Montessori has been anything but an average education. Ever since I was a young child, I attended Arborland as a student. I was always a handful, and I don't doubt it was a trouble to teach me complex topics- but they did. I would not understand math, writing, and a variety of topics as well as I know now- without the positive reinforcement from my teachers. I have learned so many life lessons, topics, and had a multitude of positive, hands on experiences at this school. I believe that I wouldn't have gotten this anywhere else. If I could recommend one place to put a difficult, or growing child, it would be in the hands of the wonderful teachers that I have grown up around. I have had nothing but great experiences that I will never forget here, so thank you Dr. Chen. (Especially for dealing with me at the office when I got in trouble) :)

It is impossible to put a price tag on the kind of education our child receives because as a teacher, your guidance is truly priceless Ms. Cynthia and Mrs. Hernandez (1st - 3rd grade teachers). As parents we try and give our child the best of everything at home. We rest easy because we know our child will get the best of everything at her school in Arborland Montessori of Valencia Campus. Dr. Chen, Ms. Cynthia, Mrs. Hernandez, Ms. Kandy, Mrs. Gershfeld, Ms. Lopez, Ms. Anna, Mr. Ian, Mrs. Martinez, Ms. Grace, Ms. Lina, Mr. Christian, Mr. Bagari.....thank you for making our child look forward to getting a good education. Teachers have got the tough jobs, their rewards are limited to the hope that their wisdom will make a tiny difference into the lives of children, helping them to better human beings. Thank you for all your selfless sacrifices. Thank you to wonderful teachers like you all.Very grateful parents of Blen Zekarias,Selam & Zack

I love Arborland! My son started here when he was 18 months old and is now 27 months. He is in Ms. Joy Santiago's class. Ms. Joy is aptly named. She seems to always be happy! She has a lot of teaching experience (I believe she was an elementary school teacher in the Phillipines prior to obtaining her Montessori certification for infants and toddlers) and has been at Arborland for over 10 years. She seems to take so much pleasure in her students and is never bothered by typical toddler behavior. My son has learned so much in her class. Both good life/interpersonal skills as well as more academic things like letters, numbers, colors, etc. Though I'll be sad when it is time for Chase to move to the primary class (for 3-6 year olds), I know he'll continue to be in good hands. All of the teachers at Arborland are so friendly and a couple already know my son. When I've peeked in to other classrooms I've always been so impressed with what the children were learning and how engaged with the material they seemed to be. Arborland is a special place and I'm very glad my son gets to learn at such a wonderful school.

My son has attended this school since the fall 20012 and entered at a Kinder in a pre-k though kinder classroom. We searched for a long time for the right school for him due to a language disorder he has that impacts his learning style and social interactions. We were looking for a positive learning environment that embraced each child's unique traits without setting limits on their potential. Arborland's classroom is individualized to play to the child's strength and positive discipline is used to teach the student about respect and responsibility. My child is thriving at this school and I couldn't be happier. Not all Montessori schools are created equal and all have a different interpretation of the Montessori philosophy. I feel that this school's interpretation is as true to the words of Marie Montessori who believed the education of children should follow the child's natural psychological/mental development and the child's natural thirst for learning. If considering a Montessori education for your child, I strongly suggest you visit a few for observation so that you can understand what makes Arblorland so special.

My children attended Arborland at Fullerton for summer school 2012. My son(7th-grade) and daughter(3th-grade) enjoyed themselves at classes and activities. I could find my children to be more confident, cheerful and academically well-educated. The principal of Arborland,Dr.Chen, is always willing to listen to the children and their parents, and tries to help them by continued effort.. Every teacher and faculty member of Arborland loved the children and tried to their best what they were doing. I must say that Arborland Montessori Education Center is the perfect place for the children who want to be more self-motivated, confident and try to achieve their goal in cooperation with their friends.

My daughter attended to this school during July August 2012. There were 12 students in the class. She thoroughly enjoyed both the class time and leisure time at the school. The principal went out of her way to help my daughter when I asked. The staff was very helpful too.

We hit the jackpot when we enrolled our 3 year old boy in this Montessori. The principal and teachers are so very passionate and caring about their work and it shows. The office staff is so friendly and on top of things and overall environment is extremely healthy and harmonious.

My daughter attended Arborland for 1.5 years. It was a great school initially when she was almost 3 years old. They were not able to attend to her as well when she was 4 years old. Since she was doing her work at a much higher level than others in her class, the teacher spent most of her time focusing on the other children. There were 24 children in my daughter's class with a few special needs children, and only one teacher and a teacher's assistant. In the afternoon, they would teach the children with all the ones under 4 sleeping in cots in the same room. I don't see this as a good learning environment. Also, I feel the teacher had her hand's full and had little time to help the advanced student. I moved my child, and at 5 years old she is now reading at a second grade level (Amelia Bedilia & Magic Tree House are her favorite books to read). Thank you for doing a great job when she was 2 and 3 yrs old. I was very disappointed with her learning experience after she turned four. Also, too much time taken from the class time that learning should have been taking place for Int'l Culture Day, I believe my daughter had a great teacher who was given way too many students.

This school is just the best... Today was International Culture Day and all the children did a wonderful job. You can tell the staff at Arborland really care about the children. Lastly, the front office ladies are always so sweet and helpful I just love them.

I highly recommend any parent to send their children to Arborland. The staff care so much about each child, whether it's the office staff or the kitchen staff. I've worked at Arborland for 5 years and I feel very lucky to work with the staff and the wonderful children that attend. I continue to be amazed at the high standards held and how the children continue to reach them. I attended elementary public school and I wish Arborland would have been an option for my education.

This school continues to amaze me and what it has done for my child! It isn't just about the academics, but teaches to the whole child - self discipline, organization, treating others with respect, thinking through consequences of one's actions, respect for different cultures - all in addition to the high academic standards. The hands on learning, educational field trips, the teacher dedication - why would anyone want to go anywhere else?

"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires" William Arthur Ward The Montessori teachers' goal is always to inspire and ignite the child's imagination to research, explore, think outside the box, make new discoveries and learn new things. This is what makes Arborland Montessori Children's Academy such a special school. All the teachers strive to inspire the child.

Elementary teacher student ratio is 12 to1. Teachers are awesome. Kids can learn at their own pace but the do teach one grade level higher compare to public school so everyone is learning much more. Cost is so much lower than Fairmont. If you're looking for small private school, I highly recommend Arborland.
