"Failure is not an option" is their motto. The faculty will provide any assistance for a student's success. This includes tutoring on Saturdays! I love the teacher/student ratio. The teachers understand that all students learn differently. Trust between parents, students and staff is built through clear, open and honest communication. Both of my children attended public school then were transitioned to SSLA. My daughter graduated from SSLA and my son is now in 9th grade. The school has been a great "fit" for my family

I attended this school for. 13 years and when I started it was a well run school and the teachers for the younger school are amazing and are so caring!! However in middle school the teachers really don't care about anybody except themselves and they enforce the kids to behave well. All the students are constantly bullied and the teachers do and say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! I myself as a student there was bullied 11 of the 13 years and not a single thing was ever done to fix it. The children are 100% disrespectful and one of the high school teachers is an uncaring and awful person while the Spanish and journalism teachers are some of the best teachers you could ever ask for. This school never keeps to promises when starting clubs or activities. I would recommend this school for younger children but nothing higher than the 5th grade.

Total lack of professionalism. Would rather kick a child out then work with parents to explore why a child is having an issue. No structure and allows children to be bullied. When a child is hurt they don't report it to the parents.

My kids loved Stepping Stones! 1.) teachers and admin that care so much 2.) my kids loved the dance and music programs 3.) an individualized approach to learning -made a huge difference in my kids lives. 4.) flexibility, creativity, experiential learning, time for recess and to be kids, Stepping Stones did what public schools couldn't or still can't do- teach students not subjects.

I would not recommend this school to anyone...very poorly run by the owners and the children are not up to par with even the public schools...very dirty and small rooms and they have no control
