We absolutely love this school. If you want your kids well rounded this is the school to be. Not as many snobby parents to deal with compared to the other Fremont schools our kids have been at.

We have 3 kids at this school. Our kids are a part of the Spanish Immersion Program and we have found it to be excellent. The teachers are top notch. The principle is always present around campus and open to ideas and discussions about improving the school. The office staff is always welcoming and kids to the kids. It's a smaller school so the kids don't get lost or overwhelmed. We love it!

All my kids have now gone thru this school and as a parent I couldn't have asked for any better school. The class size is perfect and we've known all our teachers on a first name basis. The teachers and the administration has always provided our kids with the right attention in terms of academics and life lessons. If you're into the school rating I understand. But ratings aren't everything. We have friends kids who go to higher rated schools but pulled them out due to the attention their kids were not getting from the teachers or dealing with other parents trying to push their kids too hard.Great school if you want your child to be well rounded.

wonderful. Especially moving from Gomes, my expectations were high and I can easily say that I didn't find anything wrong. Not sure why its not rated as high as Gomes because teachers are better.

Vallejo Mill is a good school. The school is a nice size, not large and overcrowded like some in the area. The school has a culturally diverse population and is home to a Spanish immersion program offered by the FUSD. Parents should remember that school is what you make of it and it is not just about the test scores. Life experiences are also important! Parent involvement has a direct affect on student achievement. There are lots of ways to be involved at this school beyond the PTA. The staff is welcoming and encourages parental involvement.

My son is very smart but not very motivated. The teachers don't push him at all and he does poor work. Maybe the class size is too large, but he doesn't get the attention he needs. His 2nd grade teacher didn't even know he could speak English. It makes me mad that he's been there 3 years. We are moving because the school hasn't been good for him at all.

Love this school! Don't be fooled by the rating, the school is great for our kids because the teacher to class size is ideal where your child is not just a number but the teachers actually know them by name. The teachers are terrific here as they provide the kids with more care than the other more highly rated schools. Also the other parents are down to earth and friendly. The only slight negative I've had is sometimes the teachers give too much homework.

There is so much violence in this school and there are occasions where police has been involved. It is no secret. They also don't address bullying.

I love sending my son to this school! This is not our home school but I don't have a plan to change him to his home school because we all love this school their way of teaching and the way of behaving with parents!

My son is attending this school from the mid of 1st grade. Teachers are smart, kind and attentive. I hope he will learn a lot at the second grade level. He enjoys every day at that school!

My daughter is in the Spanish Immersion Program. I think Vallejo Mill is a wonderful school. There is great parent involvement and the teachers are as dedicated as any anywhere. I compare it favorably to other supposedly 'higher-rated' schools in the area.

My son was overloaded here when we moved from So. Cal and it was a shock to me.. he came in kindergarten. His teacher would forget that they had a library day, no homework would come home since the printer was broken, didn't have any graduation .. I could go on and on.. the teacher discouraged parent volunteer and ofcourse didn't have enough time to get things done.. at the end of kindergarten atleast 40% of the kids could n;t read numbers or above 20 or read properly. I am very disappointed with the time he spent. I would say some daycares are better in what they do with the kids. :-(. The principal was never around.. for the time my child went there, I never saw or heard from the pricipal
