Won’t give it a 5 because no school is perfect . My daughter currently going there 8th grade and she has been doing good. I always ask how it went if anyone picking on her but if she would have issue I would go to teacher/coach and address it. Does complain there are kids disruptive and can’t focus but I do not blame the teachers or school I blame others for their behavior. Overall good school

We moved here about 2 years ago and ever since then FISD is not a district I recommend. Prior to moving here we lived in Houston. My daughter was doing really well and expected for it to be the same or better here in Forney, but we are very disappointed. I’m not sure how it used to be back then but there isn’t anything good to say about this school or the teachers and students.

The staff is not great at all. I was having the worst period cramps and I was having bowel problems, and what did the nurse do in a MIDDLE SCHOOL, she said "sorry I don't have anything to help, but let me take your temp!" as if my temp had anything to do with it. I went to the counselor once during lunch cause boys were bullying or roasting me, I was crying and the counselor told my mom "Yeah so I was eating lunch and" over and over. Students have no idea what respect is. Girls and boys don't keep hands to themselves, can't keep hands to self, and always make fun of people who disagree. They also barley listen to their teachers and joke about serious topics/trauma like joking about being 'booty raped'. The principal doesn't do anything too.

My second favorite school I have even been to. Good teachers bad principals had good pals there. Some kids gave off school shooter vibes. Overall 7/10.

The teachers never gave a chance to the quiet kids to get included. When I was in this school half of my teachers didn’t even know my name. Just because a kid is quiet isn’t an excuse to not learn their name.

They need new staff that take the safety of our kids seriously.

This school and this district are awful. This school having a current rating of 6 makes them look BETTER than they are. They have done harm to my child. It has been a fight to try to get my child educated every single day. We have sold our house and are getting out of this district to try and save our children's education. Avoid Forney ISD!!

All they care about is dress code.Ask the teachers about your grade and they say to wait after class. When you ask them they get mad for no reason. They always get mad when you ask questions about anything.Sports is one of the only things they care about, but they suck. The teachers are very rude. There are fights almost every time and all the teachers say is dont do it again or you get suspended. But a lot of people get in other fights and nothing happens. The teachers favor a few students and those never get in trouble. There are alot of damages in the wall and there is nothing to do about it. This school sucks bad at all the test. This school is very bad.

The staff at Brown Middle School were horrible communicators. In fact, I even spoke to the principal regarding one teacher and the teacher still didn't call me back. I had two sons that went through this school and I had the same problem with most of the teachers. I am not a difficult parent and all I wanted was to know how to respond at home regarding their grades. I am thankful that middle school only last two years. The high school that they attend is much better.
