This school may very well rank high if your child is a regular "general education" student, but if your child has ADHD/ADD/Special needs or "ANY" type of learning disability or delay..........please DO NOT send your child to this school!They are not equipped nor are they qualified to teach special needs children. My 7th grader has an IEP with certain provisions in place to help make her successful, and they still are not servicing her needs. I honestly believe they are setting her up to fail. The teachers DON'T communicate with parents at all unless it's via email or a hand written note in her agenda book. Steer clear of this school if your child needs special services and you want them to succeed!#Very Disappointed

We chose Fishers, in part, due to the ratings of HSE HS. With two students, we were hopeful this would be a good place for them. We were very disappointed. The teachers and academics were fine. The other students were snobby and elitist. They had no interest in meeting someone new. My kids are outgoing and friendly. They tried over and again to make friends but were slapped down, ignored and looked down upon. It was a miserable year for them both. We are taking them out. If your student is very active in a sport, wealthy or otherwise "in", good. If not, look at a smaller school district. 3500 students. Too large.

Hamilton Southeastern Junior High is outstanding. The teachers and other staff are very responsive and caring. There are so many opportunities for the kids to get involved in extracurricular activities and every opportunity for them to succeed.

Hamilton Southeastern Junior High has wonderful, caring teachers and staff. The academics are among the best in the state of Indiana. There are a lot of extracurricular activites to participate in including band and choir. Our student is excelling and enjoying this school and all it has to offer.

Hamilton Southeastern Jr. High, Fishers, IN is a great school that offers many programs and extra curricular activities for our kids. The principal,teachers and guidance as well as other staff members are excellent. We have loved our experience at this school and we are sad that this is our last year here with only 8 weeks left in the school year.

Teaching of Math appears particularly strong. This is a brand new campus where, from the moment you walk in, it is clear that students and staff are competent and happy.

We are blessed beyond measure to live in a community with such excellent schools! We've encountered educators who are willing to go above and beyond for our student. We are grateful for the many ways she is challenged to learn and to grow as a student. She even loves Science after a challenging and stretching 8th grade year...something we never thought we'd hear! I always feel as if my student's best interest is what teachers are pursuing.

The academic program is solid for students that generally excel, and our child is doing very well academically in her honors classes. Our experience with the student body has not been as positive. Our family has been introduced to materialism and elitism that we have not seen anywhere else that we have lived during our military career. We are selling our new home and moving to a different school district where people are valued more for who they are than what labels they wear, cars they drive or where they vacationed last. The teachers are on par with teachers that we have encountered at other schools around the nation. The principal is very proud of the school and its achievement levels. The impression she gave me is that she feels that children coming from other districts won't succeed at advanced levels since HSE schools and students are far superior to others. We had to fight to keep our daughter in honors level classes when we moved here. She has maintained grades consistent with what she earned at other schools with no extra effort.
