My experience can only be rated based on my experience with the office staff. And the speech staff and I can say for it really being my first time getting the speech services started. This school has been the best and I have now work with 3 total and each in a different district. My experience with David Weir and the Fairfield/Suisun district was the best. Bc when I started with the IEP process it was the end of the school year. So it was going to have to be finished the next school year. And the speech pathologist at David weird was the one to call me first thing in the new school year. Which was great because I had lots of stuff going on. Then during that school year we moved back to Sacramento. We were in the Natomas unified school district. There it was very hard to get the speech services started up and it only had to be transferred.

Although the teachers are good, they have lost perspective of what a child on grade level should be able to accomplish. Students are bullied constantly. Lots of remedial help but not enough emphasis on science and social studies because there are too many students who are below grade level. Not a school for the advanced student to attend.

My two boys have attended David Weir over the past 5 years & have been very happy. They have had amazing teachers who care about all of the students and do everything it takes to appropriately challenge each student. I have seen them intervene and assist struggling students to help them grow by leaps and bounds while challenging the brightest students to continue to grow. I have never seen harder working teachers! The school's College Ready focus is amazing. It adds excitement throughout the school while setting a greater purpose for the students rather than just focusing on the current & next grade. I have been very pleased with DAW!

David Weir Preparatory Academy has excellent teachers. They really love their students. The college bound focus is great for the students. There are a lot of wonderful kids that attend this school.

I am a teacher at this school and never have I worked with such a great group of teachers, staff members and principal! We all truly care about the students and look out for their best interest at ALL times. I look forward to many successful years ahead!

Excellent teachers, great mission and vision. Ever-Increasing student achievement. Fantastic community. Great technology in every classroom.
