CMS is an average middle school with above average potential. The sixth grade staff is amazing and I've never learned more in a year of school. It offers advanced placement for those who choose to go the extra mile, and those who are struggling to keep up with fellow classmates shouldn't worry because of AP and homework lab. Seventh grade is only slightly above average but certainly has potential to be much improved in the science department. Staff members have accidentally thrown away or misplaced work by students resulting in frustration of students and parents. The international language department is another flaw. Most students find it hard to learn anything in our only language choice of Spanish due to poor teaching and enforcement of school rules. To many it is a joke. Eighth grade also struggles in the area of science but strives in the area's of Algebra/Math and Language Arts. This is because of fantastic teaching methods that allow kids to express interests and be innovative. Electives are above average with the choice of either Art, Band, or Choir. Physical Fitness is above average as well, the class makes kids strive for excellence and develop character.
