I moved 4 years ago from SE Michigan from a low-middle income district. I am only now, after removing my children from public schools not suffering from the STIGMA and "trauma" that I felt enrolling a special needs student in a district extremely unwilling to embrace evidence based practices in education. ALL of my children come from a stable and safe home environment with 2 loving parents and are healthy and well adjusted. When I first arrived here, many well meaning people told me to send my kids to a different district. I couldn't believe it. Why? I am not sure the district has hit bottom, because I am always hopeful, but it is not working for my children.

I have found the staff to be dedicated to the students. They are very easy to work with. My son loves going to school and we are happy with his progress. A great teacher makes for happy well educated students. That is most important to me.

Great School! Awesome Staff! Not sure what the other parent was going on about no early childhood programs... because Bellaire does participate! However the classes are held in central lake, not Bellaire. Getting the kids to school can be somewhat of a pain with one at Bellaire and the other in central lake in head start but TOTALLY WORTH IT!
