This school is a very special place and is a close knit community. The teachers really know each child and strive to do what is best for them academically. They are about to do this because of the small class size (a maximum of 12 children per grade). My daughter's first grade class had 6 students. They spend a lot of time outside learning and playing, which is great for active kids!

Being a part of the Pathfinder faculty has been a true community experience. I love that the students, parents and teachers create an environment that is welcoming and promotes discovery and exploration. Our campus provides us with a hands-on natural classroom on a daily basis and a curriculum that inspires creativity in children.

Our mission is to discover and develop each student's individual abilities by investing in a community of families and teachers in which serious study flourishes alongside creativity, responsibility and enthusiasm. At Pathfinder, children feel safe to be themselves, think independently, work cooperatively, become avid learners and strive to make a difference in the lives of others. This mission statement says it all except for the integration of nature in teaching the children. I have found no other school in the area that can compete in this regard. 22-acre campus utilized routinely by all teachers.
