leadership is lacking and needs improvements. it seems like the school has been going downhill for a little while now.

Absolutely amazing. Small class settings. Principal knows parents and student names! Safe, family environment. I commute to have my daughter attend this school because it is 100% WORTH IT. I love being a part of the Saint Anthony Catholic School Family.

This school is a hidden gem. Affordable tuition, small classes, kind and effective teachers. There are plenty of opportunities for parents to be involved in their child(ren)'s education.

We're very happy with this school. Even though we're not catholic, sending our kids to St. Anthony's was the best decision we could've made. We love the teachers.

Overall, has been a great experience for my daughter. My wife and I feel like our child is very safe here, in light of all the school shootings/ violence that has been taking place elsewhere. Excellent school!! A +++

Excellent! Small class sizes allows every kid to get the attention needed.

This school portrays one of the most amazing, loving, and academically successful environments one could hope for their children, relatives, and friends. I can not even find the words to describe what a loving and dedicated community St. Anthony school, administration, and parish has proven to be for so many years. My daughter attended St. Anthony Preschool for 2 years and my intention was to put her in El Segundo's public school right after because I mean who wouldn't put their kids in free public school especially if El Segundo is one of the best school districts! Right?? HOWEVER, after witnessing St. Anthony's immense love and dedication toward it's students and families, and its history of academic excellence, I just had to come at least check it out! And it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I was certainly convinced that although ESUSD is amazing, St. Anthony School was clearly the kind of environment I not only wanted, but NEEDED my child to be in to flourish academically and most importantly THROUGH FAITH. Yes, it is a private school, but one of the most, if not, the most, affordable schools compared to that of its partner private Catholic Schools here in the South Bay and other locations in Los Angeles. The class sizes are small which really helps the children THRIVE as students given the full attention in areas necessary and also in building strong relationships with their peers, getting to know each-other not only as peers but friends and pretty much family. My daughter loves it so much and I can't wait for the future ahead. St. Anthony's Parish has been my home for 24 years. Although I went to El Segundo public school K-12 and didn't get to experience St. Anthony's, it touches my heart seeing my daughter go to school where I took Sunday school for 8 years :') This school has so much history and just holds such a beautiful and positive environment anyone would want for their children! Can't wait for everything this school has in store for it's families and community and I'm so happy I get to be apart of it and families to come. If you have any doubts about which school is right for your child, stop looking! This is a GEM OF A SCHOOL hidden in a small and safe town in a tight knit community that surprisingly not many cities around it know it is here!! :)

My son has been with St.Anthony for 4 years. I've seen every stage of what the previous reviews have stated. We now have a new principal Mr.Kelly who transitioned from his teaching position here at St.Anthony to his current position. He is wonderful, dedicated, and he is determined to continue the vibrancy St.Anthony is known for.We are a loving, family oriented, faith based school. Our parents, teachers, and volunteers fight hard for this school. Seeing everyone pull through after the "storm" of what we've gone through is reassuring. We have much to look forward to and welcome any families who want to enroll their children in our college prep environment.

After the horrible leadership has left, we as parents as well as faculty have to pick up the pieces of a once thriving and loving school. I believe with the new principal all will be well since he is very much respected. There has been more transparency in the last few weeks than there has been in the last year and a half. St Anthony is a small school with big potential! It is family oriented with small class sizes. The support of faculty for the students are astounding. I am so glad and hope that this school will go back to what it once was with the amazing dedication of volunteers, parents, faculty, and the church

Please refer to the El Segundo Harold news paper on March 24th, 2016. This should sum it up. Secondly, please refer to a parents complaint against the same principal in 2014 from St. Mathias in Highland Park where the same principal was getting the same complaints as she is getting at St. Anthony's, and the same issues as she had at St. Mathias. Clearly, this can't be coincidence.

Cut the nonsense already! This school was torn apart by a chain email. Each email sent perfectly timed right before any fundraiser or any major school event. The purpose of these emails was to manipulate parents, bring down school morale , and force families to leave the school . No single issue on the letter was ever proven to be true. Instead a bunch of helicopter cry baby parents ran with it and caused so much drama, so much trouble, and worst of all never cared that the kids suffered. They did this because they weren't returning and they couldn't careless about children who were. To make matters worse these same parents then used the issues as excuses to not pay remaining tuition and refused to pay their fund raising monies for not fundraising. Oh they didn't do their required volunteer hours and refused payment for that. Even though other hard working families fulfilled commitments and honored payment. Some of those cancerous parents even cursed at administrators raising hell in front of children then flipped those stories too. Now a good majority of the cancerous parents have moved on to Visitation and St Catherine. Too bad those schools didn't do their due diligence with St. Anthony administration before accepting them into their schools. Let's just hope for the sake of those good families they don't DESTROY your school like they did to St. Anthony. An act of cowardness by a bunch of liars and yet they still find their way here to cause further damage. Get a life and move on. Everyday I pray for St. Anthony to rebuild because I truly care about the children. Enrollment is low this year but there are still good families and good opportunities available at St. Anthony. I hear that teachers are working extra hard to make St. Anthony thrive.

Bad and dishonest leadership has caused our school to fall apart. Disappointed coming from a Catholic School

My rating of the school one year ago would have been GREAT!!!! In one year, the student population has diminished to 50 something students and 3 teachers. Only 2 who may be credentialed and an non administrative credentialed principal. It is a case scenario you read of in text books, a community and parents who have supported and treasured a school for many years and then overnight (literally) were made to feel and in some cases told that they were no longer needed or wanted. Please let me be clear, I am not talking about interfering in the education of children, but being present at morning assemblies or events (most of which were cancelled. The Parent meetings that were normally used for planning of events were now used for the sole purpose of fund raising. Money became the issue as the school year proceeded and enrollment declined throughout the year as students left. Students were left at school while classmates went on field trips because their parents has an unpaid balance. Children who forgot their hotdog money were skipped even when there was enough for everyone (these things would have never happened under the former administration or any of the past three administrators). It is a very sad story of a special place destroyed in one year. I am not a complaining parent, I am a heartbroken parent who would have been fine with change and reform, or improvement, but the heart and soul was taken out of this school and the students suffer. So we move on and remember the good that St Anthony's provided our children and pray that in can be restored sometime in the future. For now, we move to a new school, the principal has stated that there is no room for those who recall the past and are unwilling to support the school without question. That is not me or my family. We placed our children in private school so we could be involved.A sad story to be sure. I wish the best for all the families placed in turmoil.

St Anthony's is an excellent school!!! Unfortunately, many parents have decided to turn their backs on the school, the children and families that are willing to remain faithful and strong enough to not let bumps in transitional administration ruin a good thing. Many children who remained at St Anthony's lost friends because parents were too quick to give up on our great school. Such a shame! In life we all go through change, but those that are committed to their children and an excellent school environment do not allow nonsense to destroy that. I bid those parents farewell and goodbye. Finally no more nonsense! So if you are willing to bring your children into a school that is above the rest, join the St Anthony's family in El Segundo. We welcome new students with open arms and look forward to a productive new school year, without the dramatic parents!

Good lower school teachers and nice families. However, school administrator is not qualified and the Pastor is non-communicative and defiant. The logical thing is to remove the administrator but the archdiocese refuses to listen or care. We fear that more teachers and families will leave. So unfortunate.

We love the teachers and curriculum. In reference to the fundraising punishment... umm what? In our many years at St. Anthony, the children have ALWAYS been rewarded and given incentives such as free dress for fundraising participation. Nothing has change and we all have the choice to participate or not. Glad that the Robotics program, Academic Decathlon , Spanish, French, and Theatre, will be available for the children next school year.
