This school has a major bullying and harassment problem. I have been going here for about 3 weeks and oh my goodness, me snd my friends get literally harassed by students on/off campus because we are neuro-divergent. I have Anxiety which entails a lot of ASD symptoms and am often made fun of because of my lack of ability to communicate. Also there is a huge racism problem. The students at this school often call the mascot the "Eaton Indian". I have heard so many people drop the soft N-slur, and all of them have been white. The teachers and counselors do diddly squat when it comes to bullying, and they let it run rampant in their classrooms. I cannot handle being at this school. People often try to debate me on my human rights, because not only am I mentally ill but I am also part of the lgbtq+ community. The counselors and people in the office constantly misgender and use incorrect pronouns for me.

Two children graduated here and the quality of education far exceeds any other Northern Colorado public school and many private schools as well. My kids were well prepared for both life and higher education.

Well first of all it's a small town school so there's a lot of discrimination for kids who actually try to be different. I went to this school and graduated, but I felt discriminated because I wanted to be different. I wanted to get away from sports and get into computer science and engineering, but was bullied. I got into death metal and again bullied for that. Though I didn't let that change me. This school needs to spread diversity and not promote athletics as much as they are doing. They need to celebrate being unique and get away from the small town mindset. Other wise some teachers promote diversity and some teachers are well educated. But otherwise terrible school.

There are so many things wrong with this school. If you don't want to be bullied, if you don't like sports, and if you get stressed out about homework, Eaton is definitely not the school for you. Although it isn't too noticeable at first, a lot of bullying happens behind the doors of this school. If you're not rich, super athletic, and/or popular, you're pretty much guaranteed to get bullied here. The athletics at this school are out of control, and there is virtually no budget balance here. While the athletic department was able to get a grant for $250K to build new bleachers, buying necessary musical equipment for the jazz band, even though it cost under $1000, was considered a "splurge". There is too much homework assigned here, especially on the weekends. The English department here is notorious for assigning three or four assignments every weekend, on top of all other homework assigned by other classes. It makes even the most time-efficient students horribly stressed about school. I wish I had researched schools before automatically defaulting here my freshman year, because if I had, I would most definitely have not gone to this school in the first place.
