I hate going to this school. I’m constantly bullied, but the teachers don’t care. I played volleyball here and I’m probably moving schools next year because of how bad the coaching was. The coaches not only allowed the bullying, but encouraged and participated in it. Our school is also falling apart. I know they’re building a new one, but that won’t be done for years. The facilities are also terrible. The middle school gym is rarely actually cleaned, and the bathrooms are disgusting. The teachers at my school also pick favorites really badly. I know this can happen everywhere, but they need to at least not rub it in everyone else’s face that that person is their favorite student, and shouldn’t let the student do the same. The “sources of strength” group is also terrible. It is apparently supposed to be a group of student leaders who represent how we should act. If we all acted like them our school would be chaotic. The teachers supposedly choose kids they feel are worthy for this, and those students are often just their favorite student(s). Also, people in sources of strength can nominate their friends to be in it. There is a girl who just came to the school at the beginning of the school year and got in within a couple of days. I’ve been trying to get in for a year and a half, since I got to middle school. These sources of strength people are literally the ones that bully others, since the teachers decided that they are better, causing them to talk down to people like me. This also applies to the “lead dog” awards at the end of every quarter. The teachers pick “model students” who get to go to A&W and get lunch. These teachers always pick their favorites. I’ve never been picked, though I have not done any wrong in my classes, have straight A’s, and participate in lessons. I’ve never even been late to class, except excused absences due to going to the doctor, dentist, etc. There is also a teacher who doesn’t care to teach the class I’m in enough to be on time. My peers and I had to wait almost fifteen minutes for her to get to class at one point. This teacher is consistently late to teach us every day. I got yelled at for asking about it. There is also way to much technology being used in a lot of classes. I have teachers that will give you a slideshow to read on the computer, or an interactive, but rarely something on paper. They only sometimes teach us face to face. This school is genuinely terrible, I can’t wait to leave.

I'm giving this school 3 stars. It's just okay. It's not great, nor is it awful. My own child is not bullied, and is doing well in his classes, so for our own part, we accept the school. There is bullying, and there are lots of kids who can barely read or know how to use a tape measure. I'm not crazy about the top level administration. They seem disorganized. The History and Science teacher is more interested in pushing his own religion than teaching History and Science. Crazy, right? Some of the Math teachers let the kids grade their own work. And their website is confusing and difficult to navigate.Socially, there are cliques. A parent would need to keep an eye on which group their child is hanging out with. There is some good open time to hang out in before-school recess and recess in the middle of the day. My kid says the lunches are pretty good.So for my own family, the school is okay, but we're not keen on staying there through high school.

The bullying in this school is completely out of controll. When you request to speak to the principal you are always sent to the counsellor. I have spoke to many parents at this school who all say the same thing. Kids are not afraid to be disrespectful to teachers during class due to low disciplinary action taken by staff.

My daughter was only there a month and started getting bullied. I complained to the school many times and no results, she was sent to a counsler. the bullying continued for 8 months. I kept complaining to the school, nothing. I went to the superintendent still nothing done. Finally talked to the principal and that wasnt helpful. So glad school is over!
