I was initially drawn to Southpoint Academy for its small size, Christian curriculum, and seemingly caring head of school. Unfortunately, I was severely disappointed. My son was treated horribly. He cried daily, both at school and at home. I raised concerns about his teacher’s treatment, including keeping him from recess, withholding treats, and punishing him for normal behavior like speaking out of turn and not understanding classroom routines. The teacher’s response was dismissive, claiming these were typical punishments. After just 15 days, I pulled my son out. I couldn’t bear seeing him suffer in an environment that was supposed to nurture him. I would not recommend Southpoint Academy to anyone—it was the worst educational experience I've encountered, and they need to be held accountable.
