I think the rating should be higher. I don’t believe racial makeup should be counted. It should be denoted but no one can make people of a certain ethnicity move into a school district due to redlining and other factors that are not considered in Great Schools data. When you look at the ability to succeed and improvement from one year to next and keeping class size small these are features that matter. This school should have a rating of at least 7/10 or higher.

Great school. We felt assured that our kids would be kept safe. The teachers are great and they care for their students. Highly recommend

I would recommend this school for anyone and everyone who wants to put their child in a position to grow, learn and have a safe environment while doing so. My only daughter attends Eno Valley Elementary and I have been very pleased to see how she has blossomed into an amazing learner who enjoys school. So much so that I turned down a magnet school which was rumored to be better just so she can continue her learning at Eno Valley. Which I now believe is not only better but is the best choice for our family. The staff is excellent and skilled at engaging students and parents in a well-rounded environment. The Principal, Mr. Jowers is so invested in the students and parents interests that any concerns that you may have he listens and takes action leaving you with feelings of being heard and taken care of. This is an outstanding school. A school worth investing in.

Not a good experience with this school nor the entire DPS northern district.

The leader mistreat great staff that's why there are absences and turn over. The Principal places his own agenda ahead of everyone. He doesn't support his staff in continuing their education either. He has to personally "like" you to support your ideas and embrace your creativity. He only welcomes those who agree with everything he does. Its hard to develop skills in others when you lack them. Hes truly a boss in a negative sense. But not a leader.

We had a kindergartner start at Eno Valley this year. So far we have been extremely impressed by the attentiveness of the staff. Only a few months in and all the teachers and administrators, including the principal and assistant principal, who work the carpool line each day, recognize me and my son. They work as a team to support the needs of my student and I feel they truly care about his success.

We just started at Eno Valley this year, relocating from NJ; my son is in 3rd grade. I was initially dissuaded through rumors not to enroll my child here, but per our family's desire to replicate a diverse school body that we had in NJ and this was our zoned school, I forged ahead to learn more. Principal Jowers gave me an 1 1/2 long private tour over the summer, sharing the school's mission, the renovation, it's embracement of outdoor learning, the proximity to the Hub Farm and its use, and was quite frank about its history. In addition, my son was apprehensive to return to school, as well as start at a new school in a new state, after having been in a pod since shutdown in March 2020. Principal Jowers invited us back the week before school to give my son a private tour. His rapport with my son was amazing after that time, and sparked a shift in my son's attitude to starting school in person.Since the start of school, my son has come out of his shell and is eager to learn; he's reading more and is for the first time, eager to practice his multiplication. He loves the two playgrounds, and talks fondly about PE and music. His attitude towards school has become incredibly positive. I witnessed an amazing curriculum night where staff was energized, engaged, and a real sense of positive energy was conveyed by both principals. One of the missions of the school is to create a "joyfully rigorous school culture." I couldn't be happier! I'm not giving the school full agreement with dealing with learning differences and bullying only because I have no experience with either.

I want to give a Shout out to two Awesome teachers at Eno Valley. I want to say Thank you to Mrs. Morton and Ms. Melvin these teachers are the best at what they do . You will not regret having them teach your children, They go above and beyond the normal standards of a teacher. I have had the pleasure of working with them with 2 of my sons. I have never seen the love and passion of teachers the way I have with them. Keep doing a great job ladies. Thank you.

We are a new kindergarten family, starting amidst the COVID-19 pandemic with virtual learning. The teachers, administrators, and staff at Eno Valley have gone above and beyond to meet the needs of their students, and to make this difficult and often troubling time manageable for students and parents. I cannot speak highly enough of Principal Jowers and the leadership at this school, or of my daughter’s teachers, Mrs. Morton and Ms. Melvin. They care about their students and want them to be successful. They are patient and persistent, and are committed to making virtual learning a positive experience.

I am proud to be a part of the staff of Eno Valley. They are dedicated to student success and achievement. They see the individual students and try to connect with them so they can connect with school and achieve academic goals.

I have read these comments and before sending my daughter to Eno Valley, I was very apprehensive. We did not get our lottery preference and I did not know what we were going to do. A year later, I am so happy that my daughter stayed at Eno Valley. Her teachers were amazing and their new principal has transformed their school culture from anything I read about before he arrived. I am so glad to be an Eno Valley parent and looking forward to another amazing school year!

I am so glad that I pulled my son out of this school. His class last year went through 6 teachers in one year! The last teacher was fresh out of college, obviously with no de-escalating experience. My son was bullied the entire year, with the principal not really wanting to do anything but punish my son. They were very inconsistent in dealing with that problem. The kids there are uncontrolled, rowdy and rude. I have been outside and heard them out there cursing. My son was involved in several fights because of bullies. I have since moved him to another school where the teachers actually care about his well-being. He is starting to thrive and now is finally getting his apprehensions about school under control. He spent all year fighting for his safety and he can finally relax. Eno needs to get it together. I don't care what kind of demographics they have going on in that school, every school can be excellent when the staff actually cares about their students.

My son entered Eno Valley mid year of 2013 and it has been a nightmare. I did not like the school or the staff. STAFF are very rude. My son continued to be bullied the entire time at this school, from the classroom, on the bus and by the teacher. Parents that are not proactive in their child's school will never know what he or she truly goes thru at this school. I am thankful my son will no longer attend Eno and will NOT go to Carrington. I know his last year I had several teacher conferences and got no where but same results brush it under the rug.

I went to have lunch with my daughter today and got the pleasure of meeting the principal. She did help me get into the building that my daughters classroom was in but she was very condescending and was extremely rude. I wasn't sure who she was when I encountered her and I was appalled when I found out from my daughters teacher that she was the principal. I feel sorry for the children that have to deal with her. No one with an attitude like hers should be allowed to interact with children.
