I can't say enough great things about Liberty, the teachers and staff are amazing, the school is in a beautiful setting and my child is thriving. I would highly recommend Liberty to anyone who asked me.

It has been a lifesaver for my daughter. She loves going to school, talks about what she is learning, and has a new passion for learning.

This is an incredible school and a valuable resource in our community. Private school tuition is costly, however, this school costs about a third of what many schools of its caliber charge. Seeing our student thrive in an educational setting is well worth the investment!

Our child is thriving at school for the first time ever. The teachers and staff truly understand the strengths and challenges of gifted and twice-exceptional children and work individually with them to make sure their educational and social-emotional needs are met. We are so grateful to have this amazing school in our little town!

I can't even begin to describe how grateful we are to have access to this wonderful resource in this community. After years of fighting the system to provide our child the assistance he would need to succeed, we finally found our home at The Liberty School. He loves school, has regained confidence in himself, and is learning how to advocate for his needs in a caring and positive envrionment. A truly amazing school and staff.

I have been very happy with the care and interest that the teachers and tutors have shown for my child. He is a happier person when he is attending Liberty. He feels safe at school. I know his reading skills are improving and he is being challenged in math as well. I think the other kids are great and the Liberty families are pretty awesome too. We are greatful to have Liberty in our community.

As a parent and professional educator, I'm always impressed with and constantly on the look out for strong school cultures . As a resident of Durango, I have been consistently impressed by the small school environment and climate of empowerment the Liberty school has cultivated for its students and staff. Founder Joyce Bilgrave and the Liberty team have established the preeminent school for Dyslexic, Intellectually Gifted and Twice Exceptional students and there families in the four corners. This small school is making a big impact in the lives of children. Thanks to the Liberty School for providing our community (and our entire nation) a leading example of excellence in Dyslexic and Gifted education.

My gifted and dyslexic twin boys struggled through public school, regularly feigning stomach aches in order to skip class in first and second grade. Their reading improved THREE grade levels in their first year at The Liberty School. Both my kids attended The Liberty School for grades 3-5, and entered middle school armed with a multitude of academic tools that made their dyslexia a manageable challenge, and even an ADVANTAGE in their project-based curriculum. They both earned ALL As their first semester of middle school! Liberty gave my boys the gift of academic and social confidence, as well as three years of "rocket fueled" education that supported their areas of need with one-on-one tutoring, and pushed them as far as they could soar in their gifted subjects of interest. I highly recommend The Liberty School for a transformative educational experience! Cindy Atchison Liberty Parent

This school saved my boy from academic failure. In second grade, he was already starting to show symptoms of not being able to cope with the pressures of public school (frequent stomach aches, etc.). After two days at The Liberty School, I sensed that something about him was different: he was becoming confident and proud that he is dyslexic. He sees it as an ability now, more than a disability. The Liberty School took his reading level from lower than first grade to 7th grade, 2nd month level (in a key measure) in less than two school years!

Our son went to Liberty for 2nd and 3rd grade. He was a puzzle to the public school teachers in K and 1st grade. He learned so much in the two years at Liberty that we were able to have him attend public school again. He loved Liberty, loves public school, and never lost his enthusiasm for learning. He was helped early thereby avoiding the downward spiral of a kid who starts to hate school while no one knows what to do with them.

This school has taken my severely dyslexic & gifted son to a place academically that the public schools were not able to despite their valiant efforts. Being around other kids just like him has been so amazing for his self-esteem He truly is blossoming into a confident and independent kid as a result! We just love the close-knit Liberty community, too. The parents, teachers, and admin are really like family to us. You just can't beat this school to give your child what he/she needs! It's such a relief!
