This school is based on pure lies The principals tell the kids and parents that the school is perfect and better than others making it so students hate other schools Instead of viewing them as friends they cover up bullying and all the bad things that happened such as vaping in bathrooms, buses and other unsupervised areas the school is basically known for bullying and vaping if you think about it´s perfect for the principals they sit in their offices making money but try asking the kids that get pushed around the people who witness people vaping the people who are bullied because of who they are and don´t be surprised when they tell you that the school isn´t perfect issues will always exist but Davis fails at a simple task which is acknowledging these issues they completely ignore them not even mentioning the issues. the students need a voice we need a voice we need to address this. that´s all I hope you find this useful.

All three of my children went through Davis Middle School. The schools offer challenging, engaging academics and plenty of extracurricular activities. The Gifted program is excellent at helping students manage the unique pressures high students face. The socioeconomic diversity is a tremendous advantage as it allows students to witness the natural consequences for actions. The cultural diversity allows students to build friendships with people from all over the world. DMS is great!

Three of my children have attended this school. Both of my sons were introduced to drugs and adolescent cohabitation. We choose Dublin schools because of it high test scores but the challenges we encounter was unexpected. We haven't exper Teacher who go above and beyond to reach out to struggling students, your child will get left behind if you're not diligent as a parent. Davis offers many academic opportunities for its students. They have a tremendous music program. And I love the cultural diversity this school offers. You will not find this kind of diversity in any surrounding school districts. However I quickly learned about "the Dublin Herd". So my recommendation as a parent is to stay vigilant, don't depend on this school to give your child an excellent academic, social, cultural experience; its up to you as parents to get involved and stay involved.

I'll have to agree with what another parent said -- the communication from administration is sub-par. As a teacher myself, I know how important communication with parents can be. My son's counselor has left 2-3 calls unanswered (granted, she did call back one time, but only after we went to the school in-person and left a note with the office assistant, Jan, who by the way is great!). The counselor told us there would be an English and a Math placement test. The math placement test didn't happen, so we're worried he might be in the wrong level. The counselor told us that my son would have ESL support from day 1, and as a new student, would have a buddy assigned to him to help him out. That didn't happen the first day, so we called and went to the school to try and figure out what was going on. She returned the call the next day and assured us that on day 2 the buddy would meet him in homeroom and check in with him, etc. We believed her again. And again, it didn't happen. At this point I feel powerless and just want to give up on her. My son has begun to adjust to the new country and new school by himself, thankfully. But so far, I'm disappointed with the staff.

I agree, teachers do offer your child every chance to succeed. Unfortunately, while they teach against bullying, they do the minimum to address or correct the situation. There is also a problem with theft. We found a great disparity in athletic team support as well as coaching commitment. What's more, there appears to be a tug-of-war between athletics and the music department as it pertains to student participation.

This school has great teacher communication, great IEP involvement, teaches against bullies, and the teachers do everything they can to see your child suceed. I have never been or felt more at ease than when my child started going to this school. It is also clean and well kept.

I LOVE this school. Its like a whole Irish community. I love love love love love it. Mr. Nosker is an outstanding principal, when my older sister went here and our house burned down, he created a school-wide food drive for our family because the fire left us with nothing. I'd recommend this school to anyone, there is great personal attention to anyone who needs it, and the music programs are AMAZING.
