Dryden is an inclusive environment. Teachers and administration make a concerted effort to reach out to parents and engage with them as partners for student learning. I've always been informed of my student's progress, achievements and challenges. Dryden hosts several advanced placement courses (AP) that develop responsible study habits and accelerated course work. There are a plethora of after school activities and clubs that students can participate in and a late bus to support these without increasing a parent's driving time.

The school is lacking in proficency in all areas of academics. Too much money on sports programs and not enough investing in their students educations. When you have Common core standards required and those are forcing students to take constant testing that doesn't even measure what the children have been taught, then there is a big issue. Teachers need to be able to assess what the children have been taught and remembered not the state. As long as Dryden continues to follow Common core standards, the test grades for all students will continue to remain low. Principals don't return calls and most of the administration doesn't have a clue what is going on in their school. Parents also need to get more involved with their children's education. Most of the parents here are the drop off and then don't care what the child is or isn't doing type. They don't take time to get to know the teachers or keep track of what the child is learning. 88% of the district didn't even realize that Common Core was being taught until things came up in the media this year.
