Both my son and daughter went to school at Griffiths. There is a tremendous amount of bullying. I strongly regret sending my kids to Griffiths.

A bit disappointed...my children came from lausd schools. I figured in Downey they'd get a great education. Little was I wrong. I can honestly say they are both bored and not being challenged, at their previous schools they had projects, book analysis, current events, research papers, presentations, and more. At GMS they get puzzle worksheets for math that are usually completed in class. When I brought it to the counselor's attention counselor said, they (teachers) have new standards to focus on, my response, the teacher should not stop and should not make it an excuse to stop teaching. At home we as parents have to give them work and enrich their learning because they are not getting it at their school. Plus too many movies and videos are being showed to students. Filters to their technology should also be enforced, funny how anything and everything can be accessed on the school computers, ie, YouTube.

I attended this school in 6th grade. I then left but I love the school the teachers the counsulers! Great help from there and before not quite remember if its before the CST they give this tutoring in the morning before school. Well I don't know if they still do that because well I don't got there anymore. Any way great school any one who goes there in the future they will remember their 6 7and 8 grade there!

I am a parent of a 7th grader going 8th and I am happy with GMS. The staff and teachers are friendly not to mention cool. I have got the chance to attend their "Honors Night" and you could tell from the speecshes of the 8th graders that they've been given full support by their teachers and counselors. Good job GMS staff, keep it up!

I really love this school, I'm finishing up my final year in griffiths and I've got to say that I'm really going to miss this place. I'm surrounded by so many encouraging teachers, and my awesome counselor, they all motivate me and push me to be my best. We have great pep rallies, some of them are very funny (Juan direction). Most people say high school is the best four years of your life, but I think that for someone who's been to griffiths, it doesn't get much better than this.

This school is amazingly high with acedemics. I am a student there and I have had good experience on this campus!!! I have had good friends, and the teachers and staff are always doing their best to improve our fellow students... There is always a smile on my face when I walk on the campus grounds...
