    This school has been through a lot. With persistently intense administrative issues, the parents have had to carry the school through some dark times. I sympathize with the pain that the people of Geneva carry.However, there is a sad lack of Biblical literacy and humility which (I believe) is the source of the majority of their self-inflicted issues. Christ is not glorified at this school. His Name is used but His teachings are not taught. This school consists of and reproduces cultural christians ignorant of the true gospel.It could be so much more.

    They focus more on teaching the bible than actually teaching education. No resources.The administration was telling my child “the devil made you do it” and that he would go to hell when he would get in trouble and it absolutely traumatized him. I felt so heartbroken and betrayed when my child confided these things in me because I did not send my child to this school to be brainwashed and for them to use fear to control his behavior. Ultimately moved him to public school because of this.

    ECS is an excellent school for elementary aged children. There are strong Biblical principles and kind teachers to guide the children. Unfortunately the middle and high schools lack the necessary curriculum, activities, and resources to really equip older students for college. With no science lab, language classes, and very few electives offered, they cannot fully prepare their older students for success in the collegiate setting.
