Nothing got done about my child being bullied. Favoritism is so bad with office personnel it is awful! If you are not one of the favorites then oh well!

This is a wonderful school! My oldest child has been attending WCS since she was 6 weeks old and now she is 6. The teachers are so kind and loving and the education she is receiving is challenging, but achievable. I love how they have chapel and Bible class daily. I recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a small private Christian school. Your child will be loved.

We sent our child to this school this year. The teacher was having problems with getting him to focus and pay attention during class. Through out the first month and a half. the teacher, who ONLY had 5 STUDENTS in her class, said that she was unable to help my child. Even though me and my husband stayed engaged, got assistance/help for our son, tried to partner with her to help my son. Every meeting that we had with her was soooo negative, all she did was talk about what my son couldn't do, wouldn't do or should be doing. Mind you, he had been making academic progress in her class through out the time he was there- rapid progress!! During our second meeting with the teacher and the principle, the principle actually said, my son was getting in the way of them being able-to help another child( and these are the students that are "more advanced" ( according to the teacher)than my son) Also, they where speaking this way about my child, while he was in the room. To them, most of the time my son was there, he was a problem to them. Everything that came from them concerning my son was Negative, Negative, negative!!- they basically did not want to help him or deal with him which is greatly disappointing because this is supposed to be a Christian School. We knew our son would need a little extra help and attention to be successful in school and we thought that this Private Christian School would be willing, able and care enough to do it. But they did not-- they wanted him gone so they would not have to deal with him... I would NOT recommend this school to ANYBODY!

This has been the worst experience of our lives. Favoritism is shown to students who attend church here. Staff do not care about bullying, and sometimes are the ones doing the bullying. The teachers do not require degrees. We came seeking a Christian education, and received mediocre childsitting at best.

Principal will only defend his teachers and the students best interest is NOT important they do not handle bullying properly, they do not require the teachers to have a degree, there is no parent teacher commication at all. If you need to know something you have to hunt the teachers down for answers. Worst experience ever.

A new building with all the possibilities for your child's learning. Great teachers who care about each student.

My son attends WCS. I feel his teacher is very devoted to her students and goes above and beyond to insure he's learning and growing. I enjoy the many opportunities he's had to learn outside the classroom and to grow in his faith. That being said, my only complaint is the financial burden it put on our family. Every week there's some new thing my child needs to bring money for. The tuition is not cheap, add onto it the cost of tshirts(sold several times for varies functions), fund raisers(spirit cards, hams, pies and cookbooks) the yearbook, and field trips. It's alot of extra expenses! If your considering Westgate for your child, keep in mind that tuition is just the start of it! Also, I find it curious that my child has art class once a week (an added fee when you register) and seldom brings home any art projects. Maybe they assemble a portfolio or something...but I have certainly not seen many art projects coming home.
