Have had very similar experience as the other negative reviews on here. The principal (Dionne Blair) turns a blind eye to the bullying problem at this school. Shameful. Just because you choose to the ignore the problem doesn’t mean it goes away or isn’t happening. No child should go to school and have to worry about being slapped, kicked, punched, pushed or cussed at by other students. It’s an unsafe and toxic environment. If I could give this school zero stars I would.

The other review on here summed it up perfectly… “A horrible school with terrible leadership” A word to the staff-If you don’t care about the mental health and overall safety of children as much as you do about their education, if you don’t have patience, if you don’t know how to work with children of all different personalities with equally different capabilities and learning styles, if you have to scream and intimidate children, if you lack compassion and understanding and if you don’t care about the trauma that bullying causes and take it seriously THEN A CAREER IN EDUCATION IS NOT FOR YOU.These children are legally required to be there. You all are not and you seem to forget that. These children owe you nothing and especially not respect that you have not earned.

THIS IS SUCH A GREAT SCHOOL. MY CHILD CAME FROM DA WITH LOW TEST SCORES AND GRADES BUT THEN ATTENDED SELMA STREET AND GRADES WENT UP AND PASSED THE 6TH GRADE

If I could give a negative rating in stars I definitely would have because this school absolutely doesn't deserve any. I honestly believe that money given to this school is a waste. The children deserve a much better education not just some free daycare for parents.

My three children have all had great teachers and experiences for the past four years. The whole staff truly cares about the students and provides a positive & safe learning environment. They are truly excellent!
