I have to children at this school. My son is now in 5th grade and my daughter in 1st. Both started in ECE. I really like the staff here and I feel they do a good job with providing the kids an education. Some years have been better than others, but overall, I think it is a good school and would recommend it to someone looking for a school with a supportive staff with good values.

My experience at Traylor has been great. My son attended Traylor and it was an awesome experience for him. He loved his teachers and became an outstanding reader because of the dedication they expressed.

I have been parent at this school for 3 years. We have a new principle this year and that is the reason I rate this school low. She does not listen, is very rude, and comes across like a know it all. I went in to register my daughter over the summer and wanted to say smelting then but hoped it would change. I was there yesterday and she questioned me about something that was none of her business. It looks like they put another old white woman who thinks they know whats best for us in here instead of listening to us. Did the district just need a place to stick this woman until she retires?

Traylor Elementary has been a great school for my family. Its our neighborhood school and I get a real sense of community from it! My son is exceeding standards and doing very well! Overall he seems to really enjoy school! I will be sending my other son next year! :)

I have four kids that go to this school all ranging from pre-k to 3rd grade. After reading the last comment I am taken back that someone would compare this school to a "glorified day care". This school is anything but that. My kids do not spend the majority of their time watching movies, it is optional on snow days during recess. Or they go to the gym. My kids are progressing above the standard of the state and it is because if the teachers and community of this school. Not to mention, I also continue to help my children with their studying at home. Which is extremely critical for children of this age. As for the children that do not speak English and are learning to, they are in separate classrooms or they have an extra teacher for those children in the rooms. Traylor is a wonderful school! They have many fun activities for the kids during the fall, winter and spring. Along with after school learning program's. The teachers care a great deal for these children and their families, enough to do home visits twice a year! I would highly recommend this school!! Everyone is friendly and kind. Traylor has provided a Whole Child education for my kids!

My daughter went to Traylor in preschool while Mrs. Marker was a great kindergarten teacher, it was soon obvious that she was an abnormality in an otherwise abysmal school. This school caters to the lowest common denominator of learning. Most kids are Spanish speaking with little to no English so the teachers' time is spent on these kids while average/above average kids suffer. Elementary education is critical for kids- and should be full of learning and challenges. They have dumbed down this school so much that it is useless for English speaking, average intelligence kids. We took our child out and put her in Littleton Preparatory Charter School. It is a day and night difference. I would strongly suggest staying away from this school. It is no better than glorified day care - my daughter watched more movies here than at home!
