Doull is an amazing school that strives to support the whole child. The administration works tirelessly to improve and make the school even better.

I wanted to write a review to help and to also warn parents. I am writing an honest review. I am also a parent of students who attend Doull. I’m sure you can see that many children and staff are writing reviews for this school on here which is a bit unsettling because it has the appearance of being biased? That’s my opinion.Anyhow, I want to bring to your attention that the school is making up policies behind your backs. They are no longer involving parents for potential changes and definitely not communicating new changes to you. They have in place a new tardy and absent policy. You as the parent, your children’s advocate, guardian and care taker are no longer found capable of knowing what an excused absence or tardy is. Therefore you can’t make that call. Sure you can contact the school through their app, by phone or email to tell them your car broke down, your kid has the flu or that grandma died but guess what? It’s not excused. I found this out the hard way and looked up my children’s portal profile and found out all the times I did my part as a responsible parent and contacted the school to alert them of my children’s absence, it was all in vain. Everything marked as unexcused.Called DPS and was told each school makes it’s own policies yet the main DPS site clearly states the definition of an excused absence or tardy? What’s even more concerning and quite confusing is how the principal neglects to inform you, the parent of this policy. I wanted to leave this review to help parents learn what is going on and how this principal does everything she can to push you out. It’s not only her, it’s Mrs. Greaber who will send out a truancy letter to you. This is scary, what else are they doing? What rules are you unknowingly breaking? What else are you being reported for?Really hate having to do this but this bothered me and I’m sure it will bother you too.

My child has been going here for 4 years. The first 2 years weren't bad. But when your son comes home crying to you and tells you what happend at school and what the teachers didn't do to fix the situation makes things hard. Especially when they tell you they want to change schools at the beginning of the year. Thats a red light. Not just that did Doull tell you as a parent of that school now that even if you call your the office and let them know your child is sick that the kids are getting marked as an UNEXCUSED ABSENT! That goes for being late as well. Per DPS as long as you as a parent calls and notifies the school of there absents its excused. But Doull don't see it that way. They love there rating too much. I just found out today that this is a social worker's idea to mark the children as unexcused. Since it will make it easier to send out those threatening notes that they will send you to court for your childs Attendence. They never notified the parents of this change. This school has high ratings because not very many people are rating. When you only see very few ratings and they are all good you need to really do your homework and research. I am personally tired of it and people need to know the truth about what goes on behind these doors. Everything that I wrote in my review is true facts.

I have had two children attend Doull and I have been very happy each year. My oldest son had some struggles when he first started school in kindergarten and he was helped on every level. The school staff including the principals all worked hard with me to help my son. My son left this school after fifth grade being a highly gifted learner and I know it's all because of the great education he has had at Doull. My you gest son has been at this school for two years and is now entering his third year at Doull. Again, nothing but satisfaction! This is the PERFECT SCHOOL! I highly recommend Doull and stand behind the entire staff. There are really no bad teachers and the entire staff is very friendly. I LOVE this school.

Doull seems to have great teachers in the lower levels. I've been disappointed in my son's teacher this year when he transitioned to third grade. Kindergarten through second grade teachers had very open communication and connected well with students. I don't get that same feeling this year and my son has stopped loving his teacher. very sad. he is not old enough to dislike his teachers. I used to get regular updates about how my son was doing because he is a little bit behind but now I don't really know how he's doing. But we have had three really great years. hopefully next year will be as good as the previous. Overall I think the school really cares about the whole child and not just the academics.

The Principal is a wonderful example of what school is all about. My daughter has been attending this school since 1st grade and we absolutely love Doull. She has great friends and we always feel welcome when we visit. They also have after school programs and we should support them as parents whenever possible.
