My daughter went hear and had issues with bullying. Luckily it was only one person and the counselor seemed invested in doing the best she could to help. My son however followed her through the same middle school. The bullying has been relentless. Often times during passing periods my son had been hit, kicked and verbally accosted. He has tried to report it but, because he doesn't know the names of the students no action is ever taken. The teaching staff, while great, is over stressed and under staffed. My son, who is a quiet kid, would sit in the car and cry before school because the attacks were relentless. The final straw was teens throwing a roach on him in class this year. The administration doesn't take it seriously when it comes to boys. Men have a higher rate of suicide. Makes you wonder why.

B McDaniel has some of the best teachers in our area. Our child is number one in their class at high school because the Pre-AP teachers set them up for success. Moreover, the principal is always a listening ear and cares about the children when it comes to academics, athletics, safety, special needs and extra curricular activities. A win for our kids!!!!!!

My child is in Pre-AP classes at BMcDaniel. While I do not know the specifics of this previous reviewing parent's problem, I find the school to be more than adequate. Every school and every teacher and every student and every parent has some areas they can improve (and that's everywhere including Sherman ISD) but Denison ranks consistently well in testing results. My child is doing well and is actually starting to be enthusiastic about some things at school.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!!!! My child is in Pre-Ap classes and i expect the most from them. (my kids) The teachers,coaches,and staff in general do not value or respect any input of any kind. RUN don't walk to Sherman i.s.d.
