Much like others, sending my child to intermediate school was one of the worst experiences I have ever put my child through. Now while some teachers are amazing, most staff members put down kids. Horribly enough the principal Andy Bradford is the ring leader, being the most belittling, dull, arrogant person to all of these children. Honestly it’s horrible until they get a new principal I recommend not sending your child there.

This school would be better with a different principal. Someone enthusiastic and kind. There was an instance with a teacher crossing lines with a student and the principal acted as if it should be brushed under the rug because he had been working with that teacher for many years. There are no other schools in the district for these grades. This school would NOT be my first choice due to the principal and a few bad teachers. But sadly it is the only option at these grade levels. Anything good going on at this school is being generated by the good teachers.

As someone who is a teacher I feel this school needs innovative ideas and new guidelines and rules for it to succeed. Foxview feels complacent in the areas of teaching and guidance and we felt bad for our child having to attend there with all of its problems. We got the impression that to our child's main teachers this was just a job to show up to. They would ignore bullying and the structure of the math and ELA workshop actually facilitates bullying because the teachers don't care that when they are working, children are talking and not working. If the boys or certain students are breaking rules or bullying, the teachers yelled at the entire class, so that negates important behavior corrections for the students that need behavior corrections. Our child said there was so much goofing around and no discipline it wasn't worth going to school.

Good school, great teachers, but disinterested and unprofessional principal. Principal showed complete lack of interest addressing and getting involved in an instance involving a student threatening the life of another student on social media. Simply chalked it up to "that's social media, you should keep your kids off social media." Agreed, but in the meantime please take such matters seriously. These are our children and their safety is in your hands for 35 hours each week. School deserves better leadership at the principal position.

Sending our student to Foxview Intermediate School was one of the biggest mistakes we ever made. Some teachers are very good. We were especially disappointed with the principal Andy Bradford. In our opinion, he should not be principal. He is not interested in serving the needs of all students that attend the school. The school would be better served with a principal who was interested in giving the students a better education. If you have a child in grades 5 and 6, go to another school!

My son spent the past 2 years here and had a very good experience. His teachers were wonderful. The kids switched between two main teachers for core classes. It seems like a nice way to ease them into middle school where each class is with a different teacher. The music program is wonderful. I dealt with the Principal only once (due to a parent parking in the teacher lot and almost running my son over - then flipping my kid off, argh!) He addressed the problem, contacted the police and was even outside monitoring the parking for the next few days. I dealt with the VP (she is gone now) once and we strongly disagreed on a discipline issue, although she did not agree with me she respected my wishes. I saw no instances of bullying with boys or girls. Very nice school, good experience.
