Davis High is a great school with great teachers. My son is a senior and has had a great experience. Competition is pretty high as the town (Davis) is a small community with a very large University of California campus, and thus is filled with parents who have advanced degrees and very high academic standards. I suspect academically weaker students will feel this, but on the other hand academically talented students will have the opportunity to excel. If your child is not academically strong (or at least average) they may be best served by other alternatives in Davis (Da Vinci High), a private school, or in nearby high schools.

Two years here and numerous incidents jeopardizing my child's health. If you have a child with special needs of any sort, this is not the school for your family. They are too busy, disorganized, and unprofessional to handle anything other than the "typical" student and there is a very apparent disconnect between administration and teachers, and then both display bare minimum communication with students and parents. Every area of this school needs proper training and some sort of team building so they actually work together.

Outstanding. I'm a parent who attended all private schools and this public high school is in the same league. Superb teachers, great facilities and equipment for things like chemistry lab, sports, etc. And other kids ha e educated parents which is a big factor in school experience and safety.

This school has lots of kids that dont care about their education all they care about is having fun not learning anything.

The staff and faculty are first rate. The city of Davis is very focused on education as the University (UC Davis) is the main employer in town. Small town feel with big city opportunities. Many highly educated people call Davis home. My son attends Davis Senior High School and loves it. Students need to expect lots of work and difficult courses. Highly recommend Davis Senior High School (and Davis in general).
