This school is not where I would send m7y children. The turnover is huge and things are always changing. The cirriculum is very poor and the children are far behind other schools. Don't be fooled. So many families have left and the teacher too. I am suprised this school is still existing

I wanted to send my children to Kingswood Academy for several years. The tuition price was too high for our family. However, we have made several sacrifices elsewhere in our budget to afford Kingswood and it has been the best decision our family has ever made. Our children are thriving at Kingswood. They come home enthusiastic about learning. They come home sharing what they've learned and we are so impressed! Third graders can discuss important events in history at an adult level, preschoolers are reading, and sixth graders defend their faith with the proofs of God's existence! Our children are excited to learn. Our family could not be happier with the strong religious and virtue based foundation and that there is no common core. I highly recommend that you investigate this school!

This school is an amazing school. The teachers hold the students to high standards and make them think on their own. Cursive writing is still used and there is no common core! This is very family-friendly community and it shows in the love that the staff has for each student.

Overpriced. Save a few grand and send your child to the local parish school. The education is about the same and you will probably get better hours if you are a working parent. The organization of the school day and year at Kingswood does not take into account at all that some families have both parents working. There is no organized child care before school and during the school year there are far too many early dismissals and half days.

I've been a parent at KIngswood for ten years, have had two children graduate, and my youngest will graduate this coming year. All have had excellent academic instruction, with dedicated teachers who truly care about each student, including those who excel academically and those who struggle. We were very sad to lose our wonderful principal of ten years, and it's true there has been some difficulty since then, but the teachers kept their focus on teaching their students. For the 2014 school year, one of the teachers has accepted the position of principal, and I am very confident she'll bring stability and strength to our classical curriculum. Excellent academics, character education, solid Catholic formation. I highly recommend Kingswood.

The academics at this school are average, about what you would expect from any parish school. They advertise as a 'classical curriculum' but it isn't that. If superior academics are all you are interested in you should look elsewhere because Kingwood is way overpriced for what you get. There are problems especially with the math curriculum. The religious aspect is better than what you would find at most parish schools, however. Overall it is an ok school. The teachers are mostly good. They have lost another principal this year. After they lost their previous principal there was a mess which lead to a large drop in enrollment. Waiting to see what this latest leadership change will bring.

Kingswood is a great school. It's the best kept secret in this area. My kids love the school and the environment. Classes are small and teachers are really interested in the kids' success. In addition, virtues and character are taught early on. Families are very involved as the primary educators of their children. It's wonderful that religion is an integral part of the children's formation. In today's world, it's important to instill spiritual and humility in our kids.

Kingswood Academy has been a blessing. My son began PK-3 last fall and loved it. The teachers are dedicated to not only educating but also to the character building of each student. The parent involvement is always welcomed and everyone is dedicated to making Kingswood Academy shine above the rest.

A board member changes the report card grade of their daughter and re-issues a new report card because they didn't "like" the grade she received. This undermines all teachers, undermines the mission of strong academics, and undermines the "character education" program. What does it teach that child?

They lost their principal at the end of the 2011-2012 school year and unfortunately this school has suffered greatly. Their "school board", made up entirely of parents of the school, have completely taken over that school and they have no idea how to run that school.

Academically progressive in an inspiring environment. High standard curriculum with abundance of extracurricular activities. Child receives information while undergoing formation. Very well able to accommodate academically talented and gifted.

Great Catholic Education with Character. I was pleasantly surprised when my wife dragged me for a visit three years ago. It is a virtue based education that is academically challenging, as exemplfied by the stellar Terra Nova scores. The school fully reinforces the principles and values we are teaching at home and partners with the parents in this process. They truly are educating children in a warm friendly atmosphere who are going to be great adults with virtuous character and have a positive impact on society no matter what they are called to do. Sending our kids to Kingswood was one of the best decisions we have made for our children.
