Feeling blessed to have found such a wonderful school is an understatement. Plumfield Academy is everything we hoped for in a school – small classes that can meet our children exactly where they are academically, interaction with children of varying ages, and the kind of emotional support only a small school can provide. The staff at Plumfield truly see the children, and have the ability to encourage and support each one of its students’ strengths and interests. They make learning fun while allowing ample time for socialization and outdoor play. Plumfield Academy is a special place – whether your child is quiet or loud, sensitive or bold, artistic or sporty, there is a spot for everyone. Every teacher is invested and knows each child inside and out. The care they provide shows and I drop my children off every day knowing they are well cared for, safe, and supported. Plumfield allows its children to be who they are, supporting them wholly. My sensitive son’s confidence is soaring and I owe every bit of his progress to this wonderful school.

If I could have dreamt up a school for my sensitive son to attend, Plumfield Academy would've been that school and I am so grateful that it exists in real life and that we are fortunate enough to live close by and able to send him there. Plumfield is a tight community where everyone works together for the best interest of the students and so every child can reach their highest potential.

Plumfield offers small group teaching using the Charlotte Mason approach. It is homeschooling away from home. A wonderful alternative both for homeschooling families who do not have the ability to continue full-time home education and families whose kids' needs are not being met in traditional academic environments.

My daughter loves this school! She was bummed at the end of the year when she realized she wouldn't be going all summer, and asked how long it would be until she could go back. The teachers and staff love the students and respect them as individual persons, making for a peaceful and gentle learning atmosphere. The adults model kindness and polite behavior, and take the time to help the students at each age work through the relational issues the arise. I'm so proud of the work that they do there and the way that my daughter is growing into a beautiful person because of this school's influence in her life. I can't recommend it highly enough.

I've been so blessed to work with a wonderful group at Plumfield! The teachers are not only knowledgable, but care for the students and the students really respond to that care and love. The parents are committed and participate in the life of the community. The students are an amazing bunch - they recently took a canoe trip which lasted 7 hours, and while they were tired, hungry and sore, it was still a pleasant experience because they were able to express frustration without complaining and making the experience negative. All in all, Plumfield is a great place for both adults to work and students to learn.

Plumfield is a great place for kids to learn. The teachers really care about all aspects of your child's growth. Children are encouraged to problem solve and communicate with each other in small and large group settings with teachers there to guide them. There is lots of opportunity for play and exploration. The fieldtrips are superb. Children are allowed to grow and be thoughtful contributors to society while remaining grounded in Christ like virtues. This school has saved many a student's educational life!

Both of my chidren are at this school. They are totally different learners. Plumfield has been amazing for both of my children. They are free to learn at their own pace, with the support of the most dedicated and compassionate teachers that I've ever seen. This school is truly a hidden jewel!!!

Plumfield Academy, where my son has been thriving for 3 years, offers unique educational opportunities in an unusually positive environment. Students are truly free to explore their own potential and to develop excellent skills and habits. As a result , my son's self-confidence and academic motivation are soaring, along with his capacity to empathize with other people----all this in the context of a classical curriculum, steeped in our rich literary and historical heritage.
