I was placed in this school when I was in my early pre teen life. I will remember the times When I was very depressed and seeing one staff member a firefighter lift a kid by the neck (Literally off the ground) to another room. Granted kid got out of hand but no way the right way to deal with the situation. I reported this and was ignored. Some of the staff was exceptionally nice and caring but there was definitely some issues. I still after all these years fear this one person that treated residents there at the Resi House as it was called. I'm now 50 years old.

I went to Lakeside and still suffer because of my experiences at 30. I am currently exploring the possibility of writing a book about it, and the state of our countries 'solution' to troubled youth.

I hope the school has changed, but at age 46, I still have nightmares about the years I spent there.
