I had two children go through this school and both ended up with full tuition college scholarships, one for sports and one for academics. The building is ancient, but other than that, both kids had fairly positive experiences. There will be problem teachers and problem students at any school and we had occasional issues. The 2019 issue with the sports hazing was bad, but the student hazing ring leader was a known problem student throughout Montgomery County and the County decided to transfer him to Damascus in 2019. The problem kid had horrible parents for starters, which is not like most Damascus High School parents. Football games are a blast and the whole town comes out for the games.

well kids are rude, some teachers have attitudes for no reason. They give so much homework, the building is terrible; it's bad.

The teachers are wonderful!!! Most have been there 20+ years and are devoted to the students. My two daughters have excelled!!

Only sports are accepting and music and theatre is neglected by the students and teachers. Only value sports is their motto. Unequal once again. Bad school overall.

My son has been attending this school for two years now. He has always struggled with certian subjects and the school has been amazing with their support for him. They haven't given up on him yet and he has been a straggle. I want to applaud the school, staff and supervisors. They are warm, caring and wonderful. I will be sad to see them go one day.

I am a parent of two current DHS students and I feel the faculty and staff do a wonderful job. Our kids have had no problems and their friends that have had problems have had the situations delt with fairly and quickly. The extracurricular activities are terrific. A school is what you make of it and if you are active and do the work expected of you then you should do well at Damascus. I recommend it to all our friends who are considering moving to new school districts and will continue to do so.
