I am in the Academy for science medicine and research, and they offer great help and opportunities. They have helped every second of the way making sure that I learn everything required. The teachers offer help when needed, and the students in my classes are there to learn. I have run into problems with people in my school being harsh on each other, as well as some people will look down on other students as if they were lesser than them. I have also had problems with some teachers being unjust when operating a classroom. Overall, the school is a great place to learn and grow with your peers.

if youre in the magnet program your secluded from "normal students' . you get better teachers and more privileges . if youre a normal student you are just seen as a student. magnet students are treated way better. safety at that school is horrible . a kid brought a unloaded gun to school and they knew about it and searched for the student but we never went on lock down. that has happened more than once . the school is not good for anybody.

This school is amazing. I was in the magnet program for science and medicine, and I learned so much. The teachers are personable, and the faculty treat students with respect, and command respect. I was only able to go to this school for one year, because my dad's job was moved from Dobbins AFB to Robins AFB. I still regret not being to graduate from this school. Awesome school!

Bottom Line... Great School! The administrative staff and teachers work well with parents and students. My son's GPA is a steady 4.0! Very satisfied with this school.

This a great school, the discipline good,the teachers are so dedicated,the principal works so hard and deserves a part in the back . The Academy of Research and science has even made it much better students work so hard ,hand in hand with their teachers considering that the school has a mix of all economic demographic.

i am a parent of a speaical needs son and that i can say i beleave that paulding county high school is a good school it mite have some thing bad but most of all i think that it is a pretty darn school i really think that the staff try to let the parents know thing in advace with like lots of other thing to and of all the years that my son have been going to that school that its a pretty well done school the staff has always ty to do there best and the teahers are good of what i see in what they do sign from a parent of a son with speacial needs nancy bickum derek scott bickum mom.

This school is one of the most lazy and uneducated school I have ever been to. I attended this school and can tell you first hand they do not care about their students success. The teacher do not your student and would much rather let them fail rather then spend a second helping them. Bullying is constant and extremely cruel(vocally and physically) and the teachers and staff gladly allow this to happen without helping the one who is being bullied. The students bully, are loud, and do not do their work. As the teacher are unprofessional and could care less about their students. I would like to clarify yes I have had some good teachers and made some friends they NEED to control their bullies and keep an eye on the teachers and staff. Then they can succeed as a school.

Just for the record, behavior problems begin at home and to to school. Children should be taught respect and behavior at home. Don't expect teachers to be able to perform miracles with unruly children. I am concerned that the unruly children cause time wasted disruptions, that take away from instruction time.

Every school has room for improvement and PCHS is no exception. Yes it has failed some of its testing but this is child/parent dependent. The teachers are very knowledgable and educated and are there to help. Two of my daughters graduated (2008 and 2011) from this High School and both entered very successful college careers. One is attending Nursing School and the other is attending a highly sought after college (only 500 out of 14,000 applicants get accepted each year to this college). If you are of an entitlement mentallity this school is not for you (they are not going to give you your grades, you have to earn them) but if you and your child are willing to put time and effort into helping your child succeed this is a great school and your kids will be very successful after graduation. The ROTC and Band programs are very active and very successful in keeping the kid motivated.
