Had problems kindergarten to 2nd grade with bullying the school did nothing no matter how much we complained! It did not stop. Covid came along and took care of it! Teachers are very good, not so much with online teacher during Covid tho, there were favorites Played. School menu needs to be updated to healthier choices. Other schools in other cities have better food such as Calif & Florida.

Admin is awful.. the principal runs away from issues and conflicts. He talks about himself constantly and ignores safety issues. They never can answer basic questions that have to do with policy and procedures, etc. they simply wont answer them. If you confront the principal about an issue (like safety or bullying concerns for example), he does not engage in the conversation, instead he berates you and becomes very hostile. also, the one secretary is not nice at all. She is very rude and huffs and puffs at you when you call and ask a question..

Our daughter started first grade at Husmann and the entire school year was great for her and our family. No issues with any department, but the library has inappropriate material for elementary kids. We just discourage her from checking out any books there.

Any student who has extra challenges will probably struggle because of the poor leadership.

We have had a great experience at Husmann. One of my sons has ADD and sensory issues and the school, and his teachers, have been very supportive, flexible and continue to work with us to find ways to help him be most effective at school. Issues are often dealt with in a timely manner and the Vice Principal has been great to work with.

Husmann is a great school. I would say one of the best. The teachers and staff really care about their students. If there are any issues to be handled, it is taken care of immediately! As we grow into the technology world, they don't forget the old fashioned way of doing things as well. The principal is fantastic. She is professional, caring and efficient. The Vice Principal is amazing too. He is patient, kind, and helps the parents as the children grow through their stages of life. Also, the PTO works hard to support the school is so many ways. Husmann is a true blessing to our community.
