This is our 4th year at Crofton Woods and my daughter is in 3rd grade now. We have had some amazing teachers here. The teachers are really kind and help kids with their learning. The staff is really nice and helpful. The principal is wonderful. We get weekly emails from the principal about the school updates and all the happenings. I have never heard of any bullying or any rude behavior by kids. School PTA is amazing. They conduct so many activities year-round at school. Outside of school, they have so many activities - Garden club, Drama club, etc which kids really enjoy participating in. Great and educational field trips twice a year. My daughter loves this school and the teachers and staff here. She has made some amazing friends here and she loves going to school.

My son is a 1st grader at this school and it is his second year there. The school is very good at communicating, everyone is super friendly and academically my son has improved tremendously. He loves going to school and enjoys learning because of the environment he's in. As far as I know, he hasn't encountered any bullying. There is also a very active PTA at the school. So happy we ended up here!

We moved to Crofton for this school. My kids seem to like the school as a whole, but I find communication lacking. Things are buried deep in email attachments and hard to find. The PTA seems involved with the school, but is very much a clique. Make sure you fill your pocketbooks too, they always seem to be asking for money. I’ve never spent more on field trips in all the years my kids have been to school as I have in one year alone here for only one child.

We have had a fantastic experience at this school so far. The teachers and staff care for the children. Communicating with teachers is very easy. Highly recommend this school.

Both of our kids did well at this school. Good, supportive teachers throughout. Good music teachers. Too many kids per teacher, however.

We experienced 3 elementry schools in 4 years and Crofton woods by far was the best. They are not only focused on state testing and actually care about the development of their students. They provide a positive and structured learning environment!

Moved to the area specifically for this school. We have a great principal, new to the school, but not new to being a principal. I can't say enough about the PTA. It's a strong and supportive organization full of truly committed parents. Anne Arundel County needs to work to assist this school in reducing class sizes, particularly in grades 1-3. CWES does an AWESOME job of providing exposure to many and varied opportunities for growth in and out of the classroom.

We are really happy with this school. The teachers have been wonderful and have really brought out the best in my son. The pta is super involved and every time I go to a school event I am surprised at the number of parents there.

Great neighborhood/town to grow up in and teachers who actually care about their students! Crofton has a strong community atmosphere which resonates in its schools and athletics. Compared to other schools and communities in the area, it has to be one of the best.

From the time you enter the building as a new parent/student, you are flooded with the most practical information about not only the school, but the entire community. Ms. Brown the admin. asst. is going to make your parenting experience so much easier by thoroughly going over all documents and accurate communication devices so that the rigors of life do not affect your child school performance other than the typical challenges of life. The principal and counselor a will keep you updated and shake your hand with the promise of protecting and educating every kid. They truly epitomize "no child left behind" but really achieve "every child moves forward successfully".

We moved to Crofton for the great schools and great neighborhood atmosphere. He had attended preschool on a local base and was lacking in many skills that other kids from private preschools had. Our son is now in kindergarten and has learned so much. He has caught up and is doing so well. We couldn't be happier. He loves his teacher and school. I volunteer and am very pleased with the office staff, school security, teachers, campus and overall school atmosphere. I was worried about letting my son ride the bus but they make sure the kids get off and on the bus and get to where they are going safely. I think CWES is an excellent school for my children!

This school is a gem! The teachers are warm and friendly and the administration and staff is knowledgeable and inviting. There is something to be said about a school where the Assistant Principal and School Secretary know everyone by their name and who their child belongs to. The principal has worked hard to establish a year of Chinese for the kindergarten section this year and is hoping to continue this throughout their education. There is a strong PTA and very involved leadership I would highly recommend this school.

This school is not very diverse at all. My child has been bullied in and out of the class and the teachers have pretty much looked the other way and has not done anything about. The curriculum can be long, tedious, complex and unclear. The principal is very uninvolved and does not see parents for appointments. He delegates this responsibility to the Assistant Principal.
