I wish you would take another look at CMS. The staff has worked hard to turn the school around. While not perfect and always a work in process, there is now a brand new school with evolved safety, a new community schools program, an emphases on equity and inclusion and an evolving alternative to suspensions program that emphasizes community and belonging strategies. There is also a beautiful garden developing with a funded program for its use that the students and community participate in.There is an elementary school, Rodeo hills, which is in Rodeo and attached to this District. The entire district has been working extensively on all of the strategies above for several years. Unfortunately change comes slow, but we are evolving.

My girls love this school and when I've visited all the kids there seem happy. Violence is low, and the teachers and staff have been excellent. The kids have told me about many students being disrespectful and rude to the teachers, but I have heard worse stories from much larger schools. (They have a "Mindfulness" class some days that I think is awesome ! ) You may not get as many clubs and electives that you would get at a larger school, that my kids are treated well, feel safe, and are happy and learn to be kind and are in a friendly community is the most important to me at this age. I love this school and is the main reason why I moved to Crockett.

I would like to support my local Middle School in educating future generations toward becoming healthy and honest individuals who thereby will realize the significance of an independent spirit without sacrificing the importance of team work. This will contribute to promoting a healthy society stressing values that recognize people for who they are and not for what they possess. I feel confident that the development of such an attitude will express the true human spirit of the individual.
