You get what you pay for here...and that's not a lot.No extracurricular activities. No student council. No opportunities for clubs or social engagement.Negligent covid policy.Lots of bullying here and no one addresses it. A 6th grader brought knives to school many times! Drugs and vaping are rampant. No safety policy at all.No school nurse, or substitute teachers when they're absent.Teachers dont return calls or emails.Principal is even worse.Very behind in NJ grade level standards.Save the heartache and go anywhere else. Public school or ANY school is better than here.

My daughter graduated from St. Michael's in 2018, and I found she was not only prepared for high school, but EXCELLED. I credit her high school performance to the strong academic foundation she built during her 9 years at SMS. We think of the money we spent to send her to St. Michael's as in investment in her future, and so far the return on that investment has been exactly as we had hoped.

SMS’s success starts at the top with their long tenured Principal, who takes a very hands-on approach and sets the tone for the entire staff. It is reassuring to the parents to know that each child enrolled at SMS will be given all the Christian values and educational components they will need to enable them to develop into fine, moral, young adults.

I love sending my children to this school. I love the family environment, and the fact that there is such high priority on developing the whole child, academically, socially and spiritually. There is a wonderful sense of community among the families, as well. I strongly recommend SMS.

I have had students at SMS for 9 years and am so pleased with the experience. Academically, the children are prepared for high school and have strong study and organizational habits. Socially, there are so many opportunities to be part of the SMS community, from sports teams to dances. This is an environment where children of all types flourish.

Having 4 children attend/graduate from this school, our experience and devotion to the school speaks for itself.

Love this school, it is like a small community and it truly feels great to have friends become like family as our kids grow together.

Both of my children started at St. Michael School in Pre-K 3. SMS has prepared my older son well for his Freshman year in High School. In addition to academics the learning in this faith-based environment enables the students to develop a strong moral foundation. The small class size and teacher:student ration enables the faculty to personally know each student. It's a great environment for children to learn, grow, and excel in.

I started both of my children at St. Michael's in Pre-K 4 and have been very happy with how they have progressed. Aside from the academics, a strength of the school is that the students have opportunities every day to develop a strong moral foundation. The small class sizes enabled my children to get personalized attention from their teachers. And, I also like that it's K through 8, and the older students are expected to help the younger children--great modeling for the younger kids, and an opportunity for the older kids to demonstrate responsibility.

Excellent. At a time when faith based learning is diminishing SMS is proof that good education and faith go hand and hand. Faculty is fair, hardworking and committed. The school foster a tight knit community and students excell at HS level.

the small class size and caring teachers make it a place where every student can succeed. This is a safe environment for kids who need extra help, such as mine.

I'll just put it to you this way: I became very concerned for my child's safety here and eventually pulled them out mid-year. There were serious concerns that MULTIPLE parents raised to the principal. She sided with the teachers and dismissed our concerns as "rumors."

Bullying is a problem at this school. If you are looking for a family oriented Catholic School for your children this is not the place for you. Many of the parents are cliquey and unwelcoming and there are groups of students that get away with bullying and being downright mean. The principal comes off as being tough and on top of things but she does nothing to put an end to the bullying.

Difficult to communicate with the staff at this school. I have a child that just started and while the school is very small, i find the teachers to be uninterested in the parents and their need for information about the children. Also my child's teacher is very uninterested in sending emails. nor does she communicate with the parents the best.

A very family oriented school. The staff is very friendly. The principal knows all the students by name and knew where my children were at any given time! Awesome students, parents and faculty. My children are already looking forward to the next school year!
