The school has gone downhill, some of the office staff has been there 20+ years and enjoy gossiping more than teaching the kids. The current counselor is a busy buddy who is weird and unprofessional.

Excellent! The teachers, administrators, and staff members go the extra mile each day to help students achieve their personal best!

Our experience at Walnut Grove has been mainly very positive. We started at the end of the 2012-2013 school year with our 2 older kids in 1st and 3rd grade. This year the last little is in 1st grade, so we have 5 years at this school. This is a phenomenal school, especially since it's a public school. Far above your average public school, almost a different category all together. The learning stats are not accurate because they changed standardized testing systems during this time (Milestones, CRCT). Futhermore, this type of public school standardized testing does not measure intelligence, education, or teaching skill. Our only disappointment has been the way something was handled in the 2016-2017 school year. But, that one issue in 5 years does not make me think negatively of this school as a whole. Parents and the PTO are very involved with the teachers and administration and vice verse. Therefore, the kids are engaged on multiple levels with support. It is a community of support for the students, parents, teachers, and administration. We feel blessed to call this our school and would choose it time and again.

Excellent! No other school works with you and your children to succeed like WGES!

I Looooove this school. I have taught in 4 counties and WGES is the best place to work. Admin supports me, encourages, and personally invites me into situations to address the needs of the students. Dr. Callaway and Mr. Cline take an active role in the staff and students development. If my kids were still school age, I would bring them here. It's real, loving, caring, and honest. I am from out of state, and they accept me like no other school has! My hope is that I will be able to retire at this wonderful place!!

The administration at WGES is terrible. Ask anyone and they will agree. You can feel it the moment you walk in the door, you are not welcome, the school lacks spirit and professionalism. One day I overhead the school counselor talking to a teacher about a child's personal medical conditions with a huge crowd of parents nearby. Another time I had to pick up my kids early, the cafeteria workers were screaming at each other. Thankfully there are some amazing teacher that choose to work there. This area is growing and very popular with the new high school. But before you commit to this area check out the school and meet the principal Dr. Callaway.

We moved here from SFL and LOVE LOVE LOVE this school. I have never seen such teacher, administration, and parental involvement. Everyone cares about the future of our kids here...as a whole community. Everyone goes above and beyond. I not only feel accepted in the community, but my family feels accepted into this school with open arms. I am grateful to call this home and proud to be a Wolf. <3 :-D

I moved to Walnut Grove in Loganville in seek of a small, close knit, community. I found it...by way of their small mindedness. If you are from the area...you are accepted no questions asked. If you are not one of the "good ol boys"...you NEVER will be..no matter how hard you try, how much you do, or what you give. This school is FAKE. Fake nice and southern charm with a smile and talking about people as soon as they walk away. Bullying starts with the poor administrative leadership trickling down to the PTO and lastly the students. What kind of example does this set for our children? People falsely believe they are better than others at this school and it is picked up by the students. This is turn gives children more ammunition or "right" to feel as though they can bully. In this day and age...I am sadly disappointed by this school and their administration. Some teachers are great (notably the ones from outside this area) and others are a miss. They do a lot for the kids as far as activities...but you pay additional for that out of your own pocket. Parental involvement "seems" more here...but it's really just a "heckling" session for PTO members, staff, and parents.

Walnut Grove Elementary is a fantastic school! My daughter is in First grade and enjoys her teachers as well as classmates. The after-school program, LEAP, is very effective- my daughter loves being able to do her homework then have someone to play with afterwards. I am very pleased!

Walnut Grove is a great school. I couldn't be happier with my son's kindergarten teacher. She loves her students and works very hard to keep them engaged.
