It is and has been one of the lowest performing schools in Rockdale for years. The work is very insufficient. Its students perform alarmingly low in math standardized tests. Parent involvement is very low. Overall, students are way below the State and the country's level. As students finish, they enter Conyers Middle school, which is another very low performing school in Conyers, which is explained by the unprepared students from HTTE. I have 2 children there currently. My 2 adult children attended HTTE 10 years ago, so we have experienced the severe decline of this school. The report grade at the Governor's office is a D (this is verifiable online),. One letter grade from F. I would recommend to search accreditable sources when chosing a school district, since these reviews are just opinions and do not refer to facts. Review CCPI scores at GADOE to verify the content of this review.

Great school!! Staff and teachers are very friendly and helpful. My sons are learning so much. They come home knowing their homework already which is a good sign of great teachers. Shout out to Ms Gallien and Mr Roach!!

This is by far the best school in Rockdale county. My family has been apart of this school since the day it opened. We have put 5 kids thru this school and very happy. Wish all schools were like this. The bone family.

Whenever my 3 grader grandsons teacher is there, it's and ok school could use some updated learning tools, and equipment, and some enthusiastic teachers that loves to teach, more creative thinking teachers. But I will say the curriculum has gotten a little better, because of government funding.

Hightower Trail Elementary is a Public School that has impressed me and gave me back faith that there are STILL personable PUBLIC schools out there! Every School Professional knows almost every child if they do not know ALL of the children. They welcome you into the school and actually interact with US. Our grand kids come home EVERY day and tell us what a WONDERFUL day they had. They wake up looking forward to going to school. I just wish and pray that our PUBLIC schools will one day bring Prayer and the Pledge back. HTE needs a bigger parking lot further from the RIDE drop off and pick up area for our Children is the only draw back I can think of. Maybe have a "faculty/parent" lot with an awning for inclement weather as well.

Good school. My daughter attended 1st-5th grade. Overall decent experience for her. School could have done more in the way of assisting a bright student but (I'll be the first to admit) a bit lazy. However my son now attends and he seems to have gotten teachers that are more involved. I've been more satisfied with his overall learning experience.
