Being new to the Rockdale school system I was unsure what the experience would be. So far Pine Street Elementary has made Me and my child's welcoming into the community fantastic. The teachers are awesome and I must say that they communicate accomplishments and concerns (if there were any) and that is a really big plus. When you step on the campus you get a since of pride. The school is newly built and they do a great job with the up keep. Every week it seems like the children have new activities that they are able to participate in and I love the fact that my child really like the food selections they have at school. Pine Street and its gifted program is really setting a standard amongst the Rockdale school system wanting to keep the children engaged. I felt compelled to write an honest review of 5 stars based on my experience so far amongst the six categories (Homework, Teachers, Leadership, Character, Learning differences and Bullying). When I look at my child's class and how bright they are I see the future of Conyers/Rockdale and beyond. Thank you all for the work you all do and us as parents appreciate you all.

This is one of the worst schools I have ever had to enroll my children in. Seems like the teachers are not in the business of education for the sake and love of children seems like they're only here for a paycheck. Front office staff is not friendly or welcoming you can stand there 10 minutes before anyone greets you or acknowledges you. I have two children attending the school a 4th grader and 1st grader. On the first day of school my 4th grader was put on the wrong bus and I had to leave work to go to the school to pick him up. My oldest child is in special education and I am an involved parent however the teachers don't like that they prefer parents that don't care. If you value your children find an alternative to the school I will be putting my children into private school.
