The teachers and principal at Concrete Elementary have complete disregard for your child’s health. My kindergartner was forced to sit in his sopping wet clothes all day, on that day he was sent home with a severe cough and fever we have been dealing with for days. His teacher disregarded my concerns for the children and the possibility that they watch a movie or play in the gym. The principal not only started laughing at me and my concerns but disregarded them playing inside as well. This is neglect for your child’s well-being and the right to a safe school environment. My niece lives with me and was sent home in the same condition. When my mother called to tell the school they admitted many children were sick as well. They are allowing these children who don’t know any better to jump in the mud puddles and forcing them to sit in their cloth that way as a “consequence”. I cannot even begin to express my anger for this complete disregard of my child’s health and fear for these children. If I could I would give them a ZERO star.

This is a wonderful place for my child. I'm really concerned about this website and its rating system as the LARGE rating with the 1 on it- the first thing you see' is based on Smarter Balanced Scores. These tests are so inaccurate and age inappropriate that one would wonder that perhaps this site is set up by those that have a vested interest in undoing the public school system as that is what those tests are about.

My students thrive at this school. The staff is kind and capable. The small town sense of community and family that exists here is rare.
