THIS SCHOOL IS NOT A GOOD SCHOOL I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TO SEND YOUR KID HERE THEY WILL BE TRAUMATIZED FOR LIFE BECAUSE OF THIS SCHOOL, they don’t care about any one but themselves and teachers complain about not getting paid. The assistant principal and the dean have no respect for the kids in this school whatsoever. Tiara Davis the “dean” of the school follows kids around and terrorizes them just because they didn’t take a hoodie off or they’re not wearing something that she likes, she will follow into the bathroom, she will basically follow you everywhere, and won’t stop harassing you until she gets what she wants, She’s overstepping her role as a dean. The assistant principal Erica Ince she puts herself into other peoples problems and doesn’t mind her business.

The school has been through a lot in the years that our girls have been there. Now it seems like they have a plan to keep the school moving in the right direction. They have had the same principal for a few years now and she really seems to care about the children and staff. I believe the school will continue to get better.

I am currently and very sadly in this school, there are very few teachers who actually care about the students well being and mental state but there is too many who don't care, the principal is horrible and I and many other students have all had conversations about how the principal really doesn't care about the middle and high school student but only the elementary school students. I absolutely hate being here and it's tiring and it takes a lot out of you mentally, if you have a choice to where you send your kids to school I recommend not sending them here

I went to this school as a middle schooler and it was terrible. I’ve heard better things about the lower school so if you want to send your child here for elementary school that may be fine but I recommend taking them out before 6th grade. The upper school offers no advantages to a normal public high school. There is barely any extracurriculars that aren’t ignored/forgotten about. The staff is constantly moving around due to the school being short staffed (in 6th grade I had 5 different Spanish teachers and the one who stayed with us the longest didn’t even teach Spanish). I especially recommend staying away from CCA if your child wants to purse academic/athletic extracurriculars or any kind of advanced level courses as this school can barely support programs like that. I highly recommend keeping your child in public school if this is your only other option. This school offers no advantages compared to a public school. I’d rather send my child to any CCS or CMS school compared to this school.

CCA is a horrible school run by a very incompetent principal. Since the beginning of the school year several teachers have quit, making several already overwhelmed teachers cover other additional classes or students are just sitting in a classroom with absolutely no learning going on. Worst mistake I made was transferring my child into this school, we will not come back to this school next year. I really wish I could rate this school lower than 1 star. They advertise about all the extra curricular activities at this school, and it’s sports team. There are no extra curricular activities and more than half the girls & boys basketball teams have left after the first semester of school. Do yourself a favor and save yourself and your children the headache and DO NOT register them in this awful school. Worst Leadership ever, she is very nasty and does not care about the students overall performance.

We have been a part of the Husky family for the past 4 years. We had a great experience thus far. The administration shows our's children's success as their top priority with the parent engagement and weekly updates. Class sizes are smaller which allows my kids more time with their teachers. I'm hopeful in the new school year more extracurricular options will be available for the students. I have great comfort in knowing my kids' are well attended to when they're at CCA. Go Huskies!

Our child is in kindergarten this year. We have had such a positive experience with CCA Lower Campus. Having to decide what school to send our child to during a pandemic was a challenge. We knew we did not want the public school life for our family, the entire staff has been so helpful and ahead of the game with all technology and safety, that change daily. As parents, we wanted a school with a smaller feel and not just a number. Every morning teachers and staff meet us with a warm welcome and know every child by name. Even with busy schedules, all administrative and teachers have been very responsive and open to all communications from us. Open door policy has been amazing! Another deciding factor When your child has special needs, you look sending your child to school differently. Are they going to get the best care and learning environment? We have defiantly found this at Cabarrus Charter Academy Lower Campus. What a different from all of the stories you hear about public schools. Ms White and her team are amazing! You will not regret sending your child to CCA!

We absolutely love CCA. I should have changed their schools sooner. They make us feel very welcomed. And are always willing to help me or my girls.

Gradual disappointment!. K-ok, 1st grade we had 4 teachers, 2nd ok, 3rd HORRIFIC! We live in a district that has low graded public schools. That's why we are here. Bully followed us all the way! On a WAIT LIST for a better school!

Extremely disappointing and frustrating. Parental involvement is discouraged and good teachers don't stay.

First couple of years were excellent, but have seen a huge degradation these past couple of years and I just continue to see it decline. Parent support is minimal and to get the spring survey completed the administration was practically begging daily on emails and phone calls to get it completed.

I have two children at this school, one in the Upper School and one at the lower schools and they have been going since the 2016/2017 school year. Teachers provide consistent feedback and concerns are addressed within hours and often resolved in a day or two. They will definitely be returning for the 2018/2019 year.

My student has been with CCA since December of 2014. The school has had its ups and downs throughout the years. However, currently the school has amazing leadership with Ms. Hampton and Mr. Silver. They have really put in a lot of work with communication and turning the school and community culture around. I am proud that my student still attends and I am looking forward to the continued growth of the school as a whole and for the students.

Fantastic experience! One year had its challenges due to leadership and teacher changes, but that was only one year of the 5 that my child has been at CCA. CCA provides a safe environment while offering a great education!

We have been here a long time and watched challenges and also watched our kids thrive with staff who are committed to see them succeed no matter what. It is a safe and intimate environment where my kids self confidence is nurtured.
