I have been leaving in the community where this school is located. I have heard AND seen wonderful things! I am totally excited about the work the Ag teacher is doing! I see that they have a garden outside for the students to learn how to cultivate and grow their own foods! You don't see these types of programs at other middle schools. I commend the county and the school administration for having the vision to include this as part of the curriculum.

10/10 do not recommend. Communication is nonexistent. I’ve emailed the principals multiple times with no response. They’ve had two principals in the past 2 years. Teachers don’t even want to be there. When they are there, they don’t care to be helpful and encouraging. If you can avoid this school, please do.

i have had a horrible experience at this school. as a student, this school isnt clean, nor is it safe, my teacher lowered my grade when i had a 90 on one of my assignments (i have no missing for the class.) administrators are very rude, this school overall should be shut down. my friend almost got suspended because the administrators didnt believe her. this school SUCKS.

C.C Griffen school has been a fantastic experience for my child. The teachers are dedicated, and the academic programs are challenging and engaging. The school provides a supportive environment for students during these crucial years of development. I appreciate how they focus on both education and character building. Overall, it's been a positive journey at this school.

Great improvement year by year I see in my kid and he got class top in math last year and overall A+ in all subjects. This is not possible without teachers support and consistent feedback. All staff members are very supportive and resolved all queries in time. Lot of club’s opportunities in school and teachers stretch after school as well to encourage enthusiasm in students towards learning.

this school made me depressed my mental health never dropped so low until i came to this school to be honest. the kids there are horrible and my experience with the teachers (especially in 7th grade) have been not so good. i feel like i've gotten so much trauma from this school i'm not even joking. i remember having this one nightmare about one of my classes that i was bullied in and started to cry. even the thought of the students there makes me want to cry. i feel like the school does nothing to help with students mental health and kinda just brush it off. i won't lie i wasn't the best kid there but i felt like my mental health should've been recognized i feel like i acted how the way i acted in that school was because of that school. this school honestly made me start having anxiety and depression. at one point it was so bad i thought of doing something bad to my self . i wouldn't recommend this school at all.

Beacause I go here and it was hard at first and they have great clubs but once this girl threatened to fight me and she never got in trouble they just asked me if I was okay with her in the classroom and this boy called me an inapprpriate name and was never punished even though the principal knows and i told him they have great oppurtintuies but people need to keep an eye out

Very disappointed in this school. I really don't feel that the teachers or administrators want to hear from the parents or genuinely want to help those kids. When a problem is brought to their attention, they just 'sweep it under the rug'. Thank God he's now going to a different school,.

Extremely dissappointed. Before entering this school, my child was in the 94th percentile in math in North Carolina and the 88th percentile in reading in North Carolina. In only two years my son's percentile ranking has dropped 30 points in math and 41 points in reading. This year I was informed that my son had been placed in a math class with 18 students with learning disabilities. When I questioned his class placement, I was told that he was getting the same Common Core Curriculum as all other students. However, when I compared his homework assignments with students in other math classes, it was apparent that my child was being short-changed. As a hard working tax payer I am dissappointed and feel my child has been cheated. Not only was I lied to about what education my child was getting, but when confronted the administration tried to cover it up. Finally, after calling the county district offices was my son placed in a math class where he feels he is being challenged. Currently, my son is enrolled in Sylvan to catch up to where he once was. Cabarrus county schools should reimburse me the fees paid to Sylvan. Be careful your child isn't placed in a dual-inclusive classroom.

I love this school. Everyone has been so wonderful to us. We moved here over the summer last year. Any time I have needed someone up there, I have always had a return call within 30 min. Very happy here.

I am very unhappy with this school. My child has been bullied by both students and teachers. The administration and athletic staff need overhauls. There is a lack of genuineness, discipline and equality. Phone calls are not returned in a timely manner, and some calls are not returned at all. Promises are made and not kept. There are a few good teachers but unfortunately, they are the exception.
