The school is excellent. My children get significant amounts of individual attention from the teachers, the atmosphere is warm and loving, and my children are happy and enthusiastic about learning.

This is my son's first year at the JA. He is in Kindergarten. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous before the school year started. But I worried for nothing! The school is incredible. The teachers are talented and have put a lot of effort into making my son the best he can be. My son loves school. He used to cry before going to Pre-K. I thought that was normal. But he is all smiles going to the Jewish Academy. He loves his friends and the environment is warm and nurturing. It is a real community.

The JA is a fantastic school, with a prep-school mentality at a bargain price for the NY-area. My kids are studying Shakespeare and the classics, testing in math several levels above their grade, learning robotics and programming from a former engineer at Intel, studying Chumash, and doing all this within a warm and caring Jewish environment. We've found the teachers to be very talented, and the small class size works well for our family.

Wow what a school. Their MAP test results place them top in Long Island. They have University partnerships with Stony Brook, Touro Law School as well as Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories. Most importantly however are the HAPPY students that arrive and leave with a smile.

This school may seem academically innovative and spiritually warm but when you scratch the surface you will find mediocrity, coldness and occasional incompetence at best! They boast individualized curriculum which is an outright lie. In fact, these children aren't challenged at all as we are told not to overwhelm them and to keep the workload light. They will deny any of your concerns exist and only care about enrolling new students. There are also some nasty children who attend but because they are related to some of the staff or are from generous supporting families, they are not disciplined. They will brag about students test scores being great but if you get an objective test done you will most definitely find a major discrepancy. This place doesn't care about the individual child's needs with the emphasis being on what's best for the school's survival. PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION!
