As a student of this school, I feel compelled to share my perspective on the educational experience I received here. While there were undoubtedly positive aspects, there were also significant shortcomings that need addressing. One such critical issue is bullying, a pervasive problem that can profoundly affect its victims.Throughout my time at the school, I observed instances of bullying, particularly within groups of girls who seemed to target specific individuals. Despite the awareness raised by the school's leadership, including the principal, vice principal, counselors, and psychologists, effective intervention and support mechanisms seemed lacking.Bullying is a serious concern that warrants immediate attention and robust action. It not only undermines the well-being and confidence of those subjected to it but also creates a hostile and unsafe environment for all students. While it's commendable that the school acknowledges the importance of addressing bullying, there appears to be a gap between rhetoric and action. It's crucial for schools to implement comprehensive anti-bullying policies and ensure that students feel safe and supported. This includes fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and inclusivity, as well as providing accessible avenues for reporting incidents and seeking help.To any student currently experiencing bullying or witnessing it happening to others, I urge you not to suffer in silence. Reach out to trusted adults, family members, or external support organizations for assistance. Remember, you deserve to learn and thrive in an environment free from harassment and intimidation. Together, we can work towards creating a school community where every student feels valued and protected.

The teachers could be very rude, in my child's experince. The Lunch tables are always dirty and the cafeteria smells bad. The learning is nothing special and isn't very great. This is why I got my child into a diffrent district.

Completely disappointed. The community wants to believe they live in Eden.

This School was phenomenal I only got to go there for 2 years and I wish I could have stayed longer. I looked forward to going to school almost every day. The teachers were on point and very educated on what ever subject they were teachjng. They were always outgoing and supportive. Lessons were creative, interactive and helped you to apply your knowledge. Recently Commack Middle School has added electives where you could choose a specific skill that you wanted to wanted to learn. With its diversity, creativity and energetic atmosphere that pushed its students to do better, it was a privallage to be able to attend this school.

I went to Commack Middle School back in the day and loved it. The teachers were fun and energetic when teaching which really made learning fun. If i remember, they are one of the top middle schools on long island. I met all my best friends there and still am very close with them today as well as their families. The great aspect that i remember was our guidance counselors. They can help with any issues we had personally or within school as well. They were more of a friend than just a counselor. For a family who wants their kids to play sports, their athletics are on the way up as well. Continually adding new addition to the facilities every year.

I went to Commack Middle School all 3 years and had a great experience. The teachers were always helpful and the education that I received I felt was the best on Long Island. I know when I was there, they were a Blue Ribbon school which ranks them among the state s best schools for education. Their facilities were top notch and I know they recently expanded the building due to the size of students in the community who go to the school. One thing that was great was our guidance counselors. They were always on top of our grades and classes we needed to take which made it easy on us. Any problems we have with classes or people in the school, they were always there to listen and take action. I was a big sports guy so when it comes to sports, I have seen tremendous improvement throughout the years. The community is very involved, the competition has become better and the coaches are some of the best coaches on Long Island. They also try to provide the best equipment for the athletes. The Commack community overall is very welcoming. It s a large school for many new students to make plenty of friends. I would easily recommend this school for new families looking to move.

I was a student in CMS for three years. The electronics rules are so unnecessary. You can't use them in the school at all. It's just so absurd and stupid. The school should listen to their staff and students about any kind of rule. But we as students could not speak up because we feared detention and other punishment from the dean. I regret not speaking up. When I was send to the dean one time, I was told I was selfish and cruel by the dean. I didn't even do anything to this kid. In fact, there was only one student that "pushed around" this other kid. The dean made me so nervous. I had to lie saying I did something to the kid. Because that is what the dean wanted to hear. The dean didn't do their research very well. The kid didn't even say my name or the 3 others. I was so shocked and so upset, I cried and could not go to my meeting. I even told the principal that I lied to the dean because I was so nervous. The dean never apologized for their mistake. That really hurt. I did volunteer work last year. I'll be joining "Cause For Paws" very shortly to raise money for animals in their time of need Does that make me a selfish and cruel person?

Our school has the worse outdoors recreational lunchtime. The kids go outside and have to stay on the blacktop and have a small area to walk around in, they cant even enjoy their large grounds with a ball or play basketball or kickball. It's a disgrace and a waste of land and no physical activity for the kids at lunch time. They have to sit all day and cannot let loose on the grounds. They are bored to death with no additional equipment to help them play with. Alot of parent's felt the same as I did for their 6th and 7th graders, not a darn thing to do on the outside for them, what a shame, and the school wants to brag of how great it is! Lets tell the public how terrible it really is for the kids and how they have to sit like soliders in the lunchroom otherwise they get detention. Then once they get outside they have absolutely nothing too do!!
